question that nags me and many new guys.

Postby Robert66 » Sun Jun 17, 2018 7:47 pm

Ok I have spent hours reading... needle size matters... placement matters ... but the most confusing is the injection most common ans. seems to be if you don't get hard you either missed or your injection is weak...
So after the video I see basically the penis is round and like a sponge and most places from 2 to 4 o'clock for a righty is safe there is a protective piece called the Tunica ? So using myself as example I try 10 units get a semi no blood... 20 units a drop of blood still a semi ... 30 units no blood again a semi this time a little hemo on the surface .. Question ..
if I am missing where is the material going , or is the stuff I am using too weak if you don't break thru the tunica ? that means 30 units is sitting there between the skin and the tunica seems you would be able to SEE that ? And my fear is IF I am missing and one day I do hit will it be too much so a person needs to know weak stuff or miss .

Try aspirating the syringe to determine whether or not you have hit the sweet spot. I have followed the same protocol since 2010:

Alternate sides from 1 injection to another: left then right.
Insertion points should be @ 9:00 or 3:00. 10:00 and 2:00 are okay; 9:00 and 3:00 are better.
Needle/syringe should be perpendicular to the shaft of the penis.
If at all possible, manipulate your penis by hand to get a little swelling. Even a tiny bit of hardness provides a bigger target. I have found that visual stimulation is good therapy at this point.
Insert needle all the way; then pull back on the plunger to draw blood into the syringe. Seeing blood means you're good to go. NOT SEEING BLOOD MEANS YOU'VE NOT HIT THE JACKPOT. Pull out the needle and try again.
Upon seeing the blood, push the plunger forward all the way to inject the (bloody) happy juice.
Cap the needle and discard the used syringe safely.
Immediately being massaging the shaft to help spread the drug through out the shaft.
Continued manual and/or oral manipulation should do the trick.
If this protocol does not work, you need to have a chat with the doc about your formula.
Here's to hard times.

Dear friend,
The tunica is a super tough connective tissue like tendons. If you don’t get through the tunica you can deposite the medication between its layers and it shows up as a bump. If you don’t have a bump your medication is either week or not working.
Can you get Trimix?

I not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is based only on my own experience and is speculation at best. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.

OK, speculation here. I think it's correct that unless you have a VL or similar condition the injections should, in the vast majority of cases, produce an erection if the dose and formula is correct for the individual and the injection is done correctly.
sounded like you did at least once.

I think the 3/9 o'clock position is considered ideal with the needle aimed at what would be the center of your dick. I've done from almost 1/11 to 4/8. While the 4/8 worked, I did take extra care to make sure I was aimed at the center. It worked fine but I don't use that position as I found it to be stretching the limits of my coordination. I guess my favorite is the 2/10 due to ease. Always take care to make sure you're aimed at the center line.

Personally I rarely get any blood. Rarely I'll have a tiny drop right at the injection point with needle withdraw but that's very rare. I have had a few hematomas but I think they were all from hitting a blood vessel. It doesn't take a big one.

I don't know where it's going. The cross section diagrams would indicate that there isn't much tissue between the skin and the target. But if that is the case why do I have to bury a 5/15" needle. It would seem there is at least 8mm of tissue to lose the meds in. Of course you could also lose it in the urethra as it sounded like you did at least once.

I could only guess whether or not your injecting correctly. My guess is that you aren't getting the right spot.

OK, I'm going to be trying to understand your dosage. Don't trust my figures. I don't!
I don't think your dose is weak. More middle range. With you taking 30 units of what I think you said was 100mcg diluted with 200 units of saline. If that is correct, at 30 units, your dose is 15mcg of alprostadil, I think. I imagine comparing it to Edex which comes in 10, 20 or 40mcg doses. That'd put you near the middle. You still have a ways to go to max out.

Are you keeping your diluted mix frozen? Alprostadil degrades rapidly when not frozen.

If you aren't confident with your injection technique, then suddenly getting it right while at a high dose could be an issue of concern.

Did you ever try a manual injection?

the instructions are to add 250 units of water sterile and inject 20 if that don't work 30 and so on till 70 which seems like a LOT of fluid... I was thinking why not use 125 water and start 10 then 15 and so on ... I guess I just figured if 10 gave me a semi surely 30 would be super hard but seems they all give a semi till you hit that magic dose and I can not get tri mix here and am lucky to get what I did find ... any problem not adding so much water I think they do that to make you feel your getting more product..

that explains why they said used 250 units of water and max out at 70 units which would be a 40 does of Edex so now if I go to 40 units I am getting 20 mcg of edex ok now I understand I can go higher my 30 units sounds like a lot but is not , when I get back to the states I will try trimix... thanks one and all

I have a feeling that with manual injections the tip if the needle is pushing the tunica in front of it until it finally penetrates it. That’s when you feel a little “snap” in the resistance. This is why the needle has to be buried even with small penis diameter. This is not an issue if you have the nerve quickly “dart” the needle or use Autoject because the needle will penetrate the tunica faster.
All the best!

If my calculations are correct (and they might not be), diluting your 100mcg of alprostadil with 125 units of saline would give you the exact same strength I use (80mcg per ml or 100 units of saline). I currently use 8 to 15 units at that strength, depending on intended use. Sometimes a little more if the mix is starting to get old. Alprostadil degrades rapidly when not frozen so I keep it frozen.

Have you tried a manual injection yet???

Alternatively, try the technique outlined in this thread by Antelope: antelope » Sun Jun 17, 2018 11:33 pm
