I hit the WTF did I do stage....

Postby craig45nj » Sat Jun 08, 2019 5:12 pm

Had surgery on Tues and have hit what WTF did I do stage. Heard this happens but it hits hard

I’m Scared about infection....now and in future and the pump piece in scrotum feels soooo big - almost too big to me. Already thinking of future revisions and how natural it will feel. Basically being paranoid

Recovery is fine thus far - some pinching or aching but already pumping and very little bruising - no swelling

Only had opioids twice and now taking 600mg Advil and sometime Tylenol with codine - Ambien to help sleep

Keep thinking wtf did I do - have some regrets idk guys - tough for a relatively younger guy. Maybe I should have waited till I was older ?

Nice to have ppl here I can complain to. I know I’m being short with my wife due to my aching and anxiety - trying to be nicer....ugh

I'm older, but I had a few of those moments myself. The first one was while laying on the bed waiting for the anesthesia to kick in - WTF am I doing? Do I really want to go through with this? The next was right after I woke up - WTF? Did I really do that?

During recovery, and while you still can't enjoy the new dick, the days can be kind of long and you wonder about everything. I remember posting about infection and how I would know if I had one, even a couple weeks after the surgery was done and the doc had checked me out and said everything was good.

The hardest thing during that stage is having patience to see how it all turns out. For most of us, me especially, it's an excellent result. I'm still thrilled with this decision and the outcome.

As for waiting, my ED started being bad at about your age. I stopped having regular sex with my wife about then, partially because I was embarrassed that I couldn't perform, partially from the frustration of not being able to enjoy it together. I didn't know about implants and was too inhibited to talk with my doc about my problems. If I had it all to do over again, I'd have gotten the implant about 15 to 20 years ago. It would have made for much more enjoyment and better relations with my wife. IMO, you're doing this for both of you and it's well worth the pain and recovery.

Best wishes for a quick recovery and frequent enjoyment.

Quincy.

I think that it's a normal reaction. May I suggest some relaxation & run through your reasons for your sugery. I suspect that a review will reaffirm why you pursued this course.

Hey - you are a few days in to this journey. You’re already pumping. Very little pain. You had surgery with the best implant doc on the planet. He gave you an implant with the best, hardest, thickest erection.
You are not too young. I did it at 42, and believe me, I live a life where I try to have it all when it comes to career, sex, marriage, family, working out, and just live life in full in most aspects.
And it wasn’t a day too early.
Turn it around. Look at it this way instead: Aren’t you too young to have shitty sex with a limp dick? Now is when you can enjoy your implant to the max, not when you’re 75.

Back to the details: the pump is not too big. Read My Journal here on FT, the early posts. My pump felt like shit for a couple of weeks but ended up 100% perfect, just like Eid told me.

Chin up man. You’re on your way to good days...

Honestly I had those same feelings shortly after my surgery and they continued for a long while. Now that I'm well into post implant, I can honestly say not to worry. Those feelings and little aches and pains will eventually subside. Being single I have been with multiple women over the last couple of years and not one of them has realized that I was implanted. I did have one feel the hardness in my balls and asked what was that? to which I responded " oh I had a surgery a while back" and she never questioned it again. My point here is to just give it some time and Im sure that eventually you will know what a positive thing you have done for yourself. Best of luck to you!

For 5 minutes I did.
Then I considered the alternatives of pills and injections and the pissing about with a blocked nose and having to excuse myself to go to the bathroom to Caverject my cock. All that or the alternative of a lifeless appendage and little or no sex.
Even though immediately after surgery I looked down and thought I had lost size and that my balls were swollen and seemingly changed forever, I looked beyond that, because like you, I had the very best guy in my country complete the procedure.
I followed his instructions to the letter and now, over 2 years later, I, like many others on here am a lean mean fucking machine.
I recovered all my size and recently discovered the only pre-implant pic (flaccid) I have that clearly indicates an increase in girth.
I have a beautiful partner who loves me and most importantly, loves the sex that only an implanted man knows about and can deliver.
Patience my friend, all your concerns and discomforts will evaporate in time only to be replaced with an amazing ability to bring pleasure to a woman/women who really like and understand themselves and quality sex. :)

Being fairly new at this site and some of the letters or terms used like “WTF.” I have no idea what WTF means, but assume it’s talking about the negative thoughts that go through your mind as you approach your surgery date. I am scheduled for June 18th surgery. One guy even made reference to enjoying your implant at a younger age instead of waiting and doing an Implant it at 75. That really hit home when I read that at 77 years old. I then started thinking if I’m making the right decision on having my implant on June 18th. I’ll be 78 on July 2nd. I have had Ed issues for about 20 years. Injections were the only medication that worked and they no longer are effective. Only my wife knows of my implant surgery. I’ve told all my family and friends that I’m having a hernia operation. It’s sad that in this day and age that society talks about implants for our bodies, but a penile implant discussion is still taboo except on Franktalk. I’m very scared that I’m making the right decision, although the guys on Franktalk have been very supportive with all their replies to my questions and concerns. I really appreciate all your advice. As June 18th is fast approaching I pray I’m going to have the nerve to go through my surgery and with a good result.

Yes we l had a WTF MOMENT minutes e lasted for just about that a moment. There are several thing that you need to keep in prospective. First your one of the fortunate few that can rest assured that you received the most thorough dedicated surgeries by the best most kind caring Dr. you could have. I too was concerned about the same things you mentioned but rest assured in 3-4 weeks after the surgery when you start to use it that WTF feeling will change to an OMG feeing. Besides you have all of us here to give you support and as I can say from personal experience Dr Eid and his staff are only a text away to answer any questions you may have. When they tell you in 30 days you will not be thinking of it they are right on it takes time for your body to heal. So give it a chance and keep in mine that it’s only a days it’s not months till you will be back in the saddle with a smile to look at and one on your face as well.

In a few weeks or months, you're going to use new "toy" for the first time. Then both of you will be going "what the fuck did I do".....and "let's do it again, I'm still hard"...good luck man!!!

congrats on making it to the other side, hear are some of my "big brother" thoughts

I’m Scared about infection....now and in future
I was scared too, but the good news is that you had the courage to pull the trigger on this whole thing so "the train has left the station and you can't do anything different anyway" -- so, "why worry" since you have no control over infection at this point anyway. just take your antibiotics religiously. With Dr Eid , you have a super low chance of infection anyway, so try to not think about it.

and the pump piece in scrotum feels soooo big - almost too big to me.
the titan pump is smaller than the AMS pump, and Eid is really good at placing the pump just right. At 3 months, all of the apparatus will feel like it has become part of you. Sounds weird, but I look at my implant as if it is truly part of my own body---it is part of me, and I am quite fond of it.
will Already thinking of future revisions
the revisions are easier to go thrugh, and do not forget the alternative, go through your forties with lousy sex --- are you crazy. If I had the chance to get the implant at 45, knowing what I know now, I would have done it (heck I would have done it at 35 --- it is great to be super man in bed)

and how natural it will feel.
It will feel fine and good to have sex again. It will be different, but having a 100 percent reliable erection that last for hours is an amzing amazing feeling. Try not to forget how awful those days in the past were when you used to have sex failures in the bedroom -- do you really want to go back to that ?

Recovery is fine thus far - some pinching or aching but already pumping and very little bruising - no swelling....Only had opioids twice and now taking 600mg Advil and sometime Tylenol with codine - Ambien to help sleep
Wow...sounds like a rally great recovery --- your surgery was a success. you should be celebrating.
Keep thinking wtf did I do - have some regrets idk guys - tough for a relatively younger guy. Maybe I should have waited till I was older ?
Ummmm.... if there is anything that your bionic brothers should have taught you by now is that nearly every one of us, yes almost every one of us wishes that they had the surgery done a decade or more earlier. That definitely includes me. Your wife is in her forties, once she hits menopause (in her early fifties) then her sex drive and performance will drop drastically. So, you are only going to get 5 years of super sex use out of her and the implant anyway. You should thank your lucky stars that you did this at age 45.

Nice to have ppl here I can complain to. I know I’m being short with my wife due to my aching and anxiety - trying to be nicer....ugh
My advice, you need to start working on seducing your wife now, because at week 6 after surgery, your sex drive is going to be quite high and she is going to be facing some performance issues on her own part (ie, she might be rather sore down there from all the pounding)

So, Craig, you are going to be fine, focus on how super lucky you are that you had the surgery at such a center of excellence and realize how lucky you are to have had the courage to go throiugh with it.

Tangerine

PS: If anxiety is an issue, then you might be low on testostorone --- have it checked, and if it is low, go on testostorone replacement. Testottorone is good for your sense of well being and for your risk tolerance and helps your sex drive.
