Nausea after orgasm

There is more to sex than an erect penis. How do you maintain your sexuality both for yourself and for your partner? What techniques do you use to give both of you a great, satisfying sex life? How do you explore your own body and sexuality now that the rules have changed?

Nausea after orgasm

Postby kosh200 » Mon Dec 30, 2019 11:21 pm

After my daughter was born 11 years ago, my wife began having nausea immediately after she orgasmed. This sometimes leads to minimal vomiting, but usually sticks to nausea and gagging. And it is only after she orgasms. Throughout the years, it has waxed and waned. Some times it was there, other times it was not. We talked with our PCP and he had not heard of this, nor did her gyno. I have talked to my wife to go to a psychologist but she does not want to do that. She feels embarrassed, sad, and hopeless. It’s always so amazing during and ends bad because of this. Any and all suggestions are welcome

Is it possible that you wife has reflux or something similar, like a hiatal sphincter anomaly?

I do not know. Would that be aggravated only by her orgasm?

She needs a female sexual medicine specialist. Where do you live?

There are resources out there. Please be aggressive to help her. it can be overwhelming.

Muscle contractions associated with orgasm can squeeze the stomach. Coughing or sneezing might, also, but those activities also contract the hiatal muscle, too, I think. Orgasm might concentrate contractions only below the stomach, thus making upward movement of the stomach contents less restricted. I don't know how to test that theory.

I had mild reflux about 40 pounds ago. My Mother did, too until she lost weight. Squeeze the stomach and the contents have to go somewhere and the muscle at the entrance to the stomach, if weak, is able to pass some of the stomach contents into the esophagus.

Are you on top of her when she orgasms? You might be pressing on her stomach, too.

If this happens more when she is laying down than if she is upright, there is a clue.

Mind, you, this is just a guess. I am not a medical person and even a medical person would be foolish to venture a diagnosis without a clinical examination and interview of the patient. But I have been foolish before.

We live in Chicago. I’ve never even heard of a sexual medicine specialist. She is BEYOND frustrated and has been told by all that they have never heard of this. Thing is she WANTS to have intercourse, but would you if you got sick after every time? If you know someone close to Chicago, paul, I’m all ears

WHAT happens she has an orgasm standing up or riding cowboy? If she has no problem in that position then it may be a reflux problem. Most of my life I had a reflux problem during sex. A combination of the excitement and position would push stomach contents back up. At one time I would say I can only eat watermelon and pussy without getting reflux. But then the excitement and position while eating pussy would also cause the reflux also.

Ask your doc for an Rx for Zofran, have her take one of those prior to intercourse. It may resolve the symptoms. Or even more naturally, A B6 vitamin supplement. They give it to pregnant women for nausea and morning sickness, so it may help with this type of nausea also.
Also, some people get migraines from having an orgasm, it could be this is some migraine variant, ask your doc to maybe even try a migraine med like Imitrex prior to sex.
