Chat issue

Hi I am having a problem in chatting. I get in okay, but I cannot see messages that someone sends me unless I log out and then back in. Once I log back in then I see messages that were sent to me. I use to be able to receive messages while in chat, but not sure what happened. Just thought I would put here and maybe some one could help.

I have tried and tried to figure things out. I cannot. I miss being able to chat.

Generally when I log in to chat the "Show Members" link displays one or more user names followed by green dots, presumably indicating they are online. However, in the chatroom there is no indication that anybody is actually present.
