First injection
First injection
Been lurking here for a good while and did not know where to start. Diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2016 after I noticed that I was not getting anymore lift offs along with PE before totally going flat. Previous Doc that I had stressed that it was all psychological and would not treat the condition. Was able to get a new Doc this year after my previous moved on. He prescribed me 100mg of sildenafil which did not work at all. Brought this up to him and he scheduled me for a uro visit which I had about 2 weeks ago (phone/video visit due to pandemic). Went over the options with the uro and we decided on going the injection route. Luckily we have a compounding pharmacy that is local and I was able to get Trimix (30 Pap/10 Alr/1 Phen) along with 3ml syringes. Uro started me off on 0.4ml and was able to get a little bit of lift off but found that there was a curvature to the left that was a little bit pronounced. Injected at the 3 o'clock midway down the shaft and erection lasted about 30 minutes but was too soft to do anything. Doc wants me to go up by 0.1ml until sufficient but my concern is the curvature to the left. Any suggestions?

Re: First injection
I'm hoping someone might have an idea of what's going on. I'm considering using injections in the short term (maybe 6 months) before getting an implant. I'm worried about fibrosis, however, and wondered how quickly it could develop? Can it start right away?
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.

Re: First injection
Fibrosis is not an automatic consequence of penile injections (bi-mix, tri-mix, quad-mix, etc.).
It is a POSSIBLE side effect that is experienced by SOME, not a majority of users. Dozens of guys here on FT are long-time injectors without fibrosis. I am a six-year user with no sign of fibrosis.
Guys who are contemplating going straight from pills to an implant, are often counseled to give injections a try, because an implant is an irreversible change. Many find that injections become their long-term solution.

Phil, 75, married 54 years, ED started about 9 years ago. After viagra and cialis and pumping have found Trimix. Use 10 units injected with a partial erection. 31g-5/16" or 31g 1/2"needle. 10-1-30 Wife likes it too
Re: First injection
I've been using injections for about 15 years and haven't developed any form of fibrosis or other deformation of the penis.
40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.

Re: First injection
I absolutely love my injections, whether I inject to have sex with my wife or inject for some solo play. I do take a smaller dose for solo.
You will also find that if you use a 30 or 31 gauge needle you will have an easier time giving yourself injections. I use two lengths of needles. I use a 1/2 inch for my left side and I find it harder to give myself an injection on that side, especially using the mirror. I use a 5/16 inch on my right side. Now, if the wife is playing the "naughty nurse role" she gives me the injection and uses the shorter needle.
Good luck with your new found adventure.

Re: First injection
Talked with uro and he seems to think there is undiagnosed Peyronies with the bend to the left and wants to see what is going on. I didn't feel any nodules or calcification. Hopefully it's nothing much to worry about since my little sailor has not gotten up in a long, long time.
