Vitamin E and Scarring

I heard that you can break the Vitamin E capsule and rub the gel on the shaft. It will then be absorbed in the penis through the skin and help scarring. Does anyone know about this?

I've always heard that you can do that with Vitamin E capsules on any kind of skin blemish or scar. Not sure whre I heard it. It's just something I've always known--a generally accepted and widely known remedy probably learned it in my mama's kitchen. At the same time, I think the doctor or the hospital nurse--or maybe the pharmacist--suggested to my wife that she use the same technique on her suture scar after having surgery some years ago. So there is apparently something to the rub-on application.
