There has been several posts regarding autoinjectors and syringes/needle lengths that will work with it.
Most guys say they use either a 1/2 inch or 5/16 inch needle. The key to using the injector is the syringe size. I found that if you use a 1ml syringe (100 units) you can use either length of needle, you just have to adjust the depth gauge on the end of the injector. I will check to be sure, but I think I bought syringes on Amazon that have either of the two needle lengths at reasonable prices. If you look around on the internet you can also find very cheap prices on your first box of 100 syringes.

I used autojecter for a while. I found I had to use a 29G as a minimum due to bent needles at 31 or 30G. 5/16 inch needles.

Same here. I have a dissecting microscope and the very tip would bend when it hit the hard tunica. Wallmart had needles for $40.00 a 100.LookingUp wrote:I used autojecter for a while. I found I had to use a 29G as a minimum due to bent needles at 31 or 30G. 5/16 inch needles.

I use 30 and 31 gauge needles and have not had any bent needles using autoinjector.
Shop around on the internet. You can find places that you can get 100 needles for $10 if a first time buyer. They may not be the top brands but I have not found any issues using them.

Re: Syringes and Autoinjector
I started with an auto injector and was having a lot of miss fires. Figured out the the injector was causing the needle to come out crooked. This happened with 2 new injectors. I don’t remember which brand but free hand is the way to go. I am a diabetic and used to the needle so to speak. I am right handed so doing it lefty to switch sides makes it so what of a challenge but it can be done. Patience is a virtue. Try it you might like it.
