Autoinjector or self injecting

Postby Captain1117 » Sun Dec 27, 2020 8:59 am

Hello everyone

A newbie with IC, looking for some guidance.

Those here who have been injecting for sometime...what are pro and cons with autoinjectors.

Thanks

Auto Injector
  • Quicker, once set up
  • Consistent depth (regardless of location)
  • Helps remove needle fear from the equation
  • Reduces the opportunity for fumbling
  • Probably more practical for non-scheduled events (dating new partners or bar pickups, etc.)
  • Works very well for some users

Manual
  • Allows more user control
  • Allows for controlled plunger pressing
  • Gives the ability to "feel" plunger resistance
  • Gives the option to adjust depth before pushing the meds in
  • Allows more precise placement of injection site which aids in avoiding veins

Probably more for each.
