This morning I was told by my URO that injections of TST have to be injected in the upper hip area. For all you guys who self inject TST is this true or are there other locations you have injected that have been successful? Either post on the open forum in "injections" or PM me.
Thanks in advance,
The Duck.

Re: Testosterone Self Injections
It’s very common to inject into the thigh and fairly common to inject into the deltoid muscle. Each site uses a different needle length.
I started with thigh injections and changed to deltoid injections at the recommendation of my doctor. I have been doing this weekly for 4 years with good success.

Well, there's always the "gluteus maximus" muscles, but I too use the thigh, half way between the hip and knee on the outside of the thigh.

Re: Testosterone Self Injections
I’m presuming you’re injecting testosterone cypionate, aka test c. Something oil based anyway.
It’s supposed to be injected intramuscularly. Truth is, a muscle is a muscle is a muscle.
I’ve put it in my glutes and in my quads. The glutes require more agility, but you seldom end up with soreness. Sometimes in the quadriceps I’ve gotten a day or two of soreness. My doctor also recommended deltoids but I’ve never wanted to try it.
The key isn’t which muscle. The key is not getting in to a vein, regardless of location. My doctor always stressed the criticality of aspirating to make sure you weren’t in a blood vessel. I have ended up in a vein quite by accident, and realized it when I drew back on plunger and filled syringe with a few ccs of blood.
I never had much trouble with trimix but I’ve had even less with the testosterone. Looking at my blood tests they’ve got me well regulated and where I’ve injected it never has seemed to make any difference.

I've done thigh injections for 20 years. No problems.

Re: Testosterone Self Injections
For 2 years I went to clinic and was given TST shots in upper buttock, was very common to hit a nerve and was painful about 75% of the time during injection. The last year I have had TST delivered by mail at no cost thru insurance w needles and syringes. I choose thigh between knee and hip just out from center. These shots have almost always been practically pain free and have had blood work twice and seems to be working just fine as my counts stayed consistent w previous locations. Best part is I can do my injection whenever I get the time and not have to go into the clinic and wait... and also pay for it at the clinic. Was only the charge for administration of shot but still adds up over the year
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!
Re: Testosterone Self Injections
I inject T every week and I am getting a much better response than when I was on pellets or the gels. Be aware, you might want to ask your URO for Anastrozole to reduce estrogen, and I am now taking hCG injections to recover testicle size. I have been on TRT for 25 years and my testicles nearly shriveled away. I recently had my left one removed, but my right one seems to be responding.

Re: Testosterone Self Injections
Again, thanks guys for the inputs. I am on a 3 month break from the TST injections just to see how my levels do. When I go back in I am going to ask the URO for a script for the TST, syringes and needles and start doing my own injections. Hell, if I can stick a needle in my cock I know I can do the TST injections!
Thanks again,

That's the spirit. And, BTW, that is exactly how I transitioned from pellets to injections--after using the TRIMIX I realized I could stab my self with a needle just as good as any nurse!
