24 Years Old - Thinking Of Getting An Implant

Postby LifeSucks » Thu Apr 22, 2021 4:43 am

Hi guys, for the past 8 months I;'ve been struggling with ED with what seems like Venous Leak (Can't maintain an erection without stimulation at all, and it goes down within seconds after i stand uo).

Cialis/Viagra is a hit or miss, and i'm trying different things now such as 10mg daily, 20mg daily and it seems to work, but i know that i will eventually get used to it and it won;'t work anymore.

I was wondering is there any other guys here in their 20's with an implant? How does it feel? What is dating like?

Also, since i am from Europe, i was wondering if there are any good surgeons here since to travel to USA i would need to get a VISA etc.

Thanks!

In Spain we have the doctor Rosselló. One of the best implant surgeon of Europe. As good as he invented the cavernotome which is used to measure and dilatate the penis before the implant.

Which country you from? Best to make a signature, so you don't have to tell in every post what your age and ED story is.
You can type 'dating' and 'young' in the search function and Will find a lot of answers to all of your questions
Good Luck, you've found the right place for all your questions.

I'm 26 days post-op so I have no experience regarding the usage (sex, dating with an implant).

However, if I were you, I'd try everything before an implant. Have you tried injections? Mixing injections with PDEi'5? Etc...

You must consider some things before getting an implant:
- Do you have the money to afford it and afford future revisions? I mean, there are a lot of guys that unfortunately need a revision 2 years after the first implant. It has a lifetime warranty, but you need to pay the doctors and hospital again. So you need to have the money for eventual problems like this.
- Can you stay for weeks recovering post-op in your house? If you can work via home-office, that's better!
- Be aware of infection risk and its signals. Get a high-volume surgeon!
- You're young and will need some revisions during your lifetime.
- It's a no way back procedure.

I'm not being pessimistic, I just think we need to consider the pros and cons of everything. Your satisfaction depends on your expectation. Don't expect you'll get just the good. You'll get the whole package.

Thanks for the input! PDE5's are working for now, but im on large doses considering i just started using them 3 months ago, so i don't expect them to work for a much longer time. As for the injections, we don't; have them here unfortunately.

- Fortunately, I own my own business and generate a fairly good income, and i can easily say that i am set for life so money won't be a problem. In fact, i'd pay mid six figures straight away t oget my ED fixed haha
- Yep, since i own the business i sit at home most of the time anyways. (It's an online business)
- Will do, thanks!
- Are revisions really that bad?
- Since there are no alternatives... :/

You're 3 years older than me, right? What is it like for you? Do you like it?

It really depends on what the revision is for. If it is just for a device failure and no extra work has to be done then the revision is most times easier on the patient and more difficult for the doctor. So that is a really good indication of the doctors skill. Doctors who do revisions are the ones you want to use. And it is a lot better for after care if you can find one close.

You're pretty young and are set for life! Why your nickname is "LifeSucks", man? :D
I'm counting on a revision 10~15 years from now, if I need a revision in the next 2 years I'm financially screwed lol. I'd wait if I just had ED but my problem was a Peyronie that was advancing ragefully, so I had to act and I then used all my money lol.

As newbie443 said, revisions are easier to recover. However, there's an infection risk with each revision. More revisions, more infection risk, more stress.

I can't say much about my implant because I haven't used it yet. Also, I received a procedure along with an implant (TEP), and it's tougher to recover than a simple implant procedure.

Your ED is recent, so if I were you I'd try shockwave therapy and VED therapy. VED increased the quality of my erections before my surgery.
If nothing works, then an implant with a high-volume surgeon would be your best choice. Don't hurry, you have a lot of time to test things. Also, you're set to get an implant if nothing works (you got the money, time to stay in your house recovering, works home office...) so stay hopeful!

Best wishes!

When stuff like this happens, you are ready to give everything away just to gain your natural ability to get an erection back. Honestly, i get joy out of nothing right now because of my ED and it's extremely depressing.

According to society, i am young, have money, have 20 employees and everything else pretty much going well and i should be having the time of my life, but unfortunately this doesn't let me enjoy ANYTHING, hence "LifeSucks" haha.

I worked all my life to get to the point i am now so i can live life without a worry, but this basically just ruined everything for me and the past 3 days i've been crying nonstop. The last time i've cried in my life was when i was 6 years old, so you can imagine how much this situation affected me.

I am out of luck :(

Where did you get your implant man? How the recovery process going?

I'm sorry if it sounded you should be happy solely because you have money. I want you to know that there are a lot of good things in life besides sex, this is why I think you shouldn't think life sucks just because of ED. Having the money allows you to chase a lot of good things.

The good news is you have the tools to change your condition, so don't be so sad. You'll get better!

I got my implant in Brazil because is where I live and just can afford doctors here. My doctor probably has the highest volume in the country, even so his volume is nothing compared to USA doctors. Not his fault. People here can't afford such treatment.

The recovery process of a simple implant procedure is way easier than the procedure I got. Generally, at 26 days post-op (where I'm) you can have sex if you had just the implant surgery. Well, today I'm no way near having sex.

Calm down, things will get better.

Well you don't need a doctor that does a 100 or more a year to have good results. But you do need one who has an interest in this surgery and is up to date with the new publications and techniques. One who feels as most men do that you should be the same size or very close to it post op vs. pre op. And as I said one skilled enough to do revisions and repairs. Also short waits for activation (start of inflation/deflation) has been shown to maintain pre op size and long waits for activation have been shown to cause size loss. But you need a good doctor for that as stiches inside can pull apart and need another operation so it is a fine line to walk. Wait times go from a few days to 8 weeks. A doctor who does 30 a year and has done them for 10 years can be a really good doctor for this if the doctor has the skill and interest to give you the best result.

I would say if I was in you shoes I would contact Dr. Eid and get things going. And use VED therapy to help reduce size loss ED causes. I under stand how ED is a big heavy black cloud pushing down on you. That giant weight was lifted and the whole world brightened when I made my choice to have this and was arranging for my travel and surgery. Yes ED sucks. And it can make life suck really bad. And kicking ED out of my life was the best thing I have done. Well except for my 2 sons. But Kicking ED's butt sure makes me happier and I enjoy my time with family so much more. What helped for me was making a plan and doing what I needed to follow it through. Get in the best physical shape that you can to help you heal faster and keep on top of any medical conditions you have. You made a plan for your business and worked hard to build it. Just do the same to kick ED out of your life.

Best of luck to you on this friend.
