Hello Guys,
I realize there has been some previous discussion, but I need clarification/help. I was implanted April 20, 2021 with an AMS LGX 700 (21cm + 2 rte). I have tried to cycle the device, but have had severe resistance with the pump. The pump bulb is extremely hard (I realize it takes time to soften). At times I seem to be getting auto-inflation, as well. I saw my urologist and explained what was happening. He attempted to inflate/deflate my device. He says he believes I have a faulty valve. He depressed the deflate button several times and gave the pump a quick, firm pump and was successfully able to inflate. He instructed me to give the pump 1 quick squeeze after deflating to "lock" the valve.
I have been unable to replicate what he did. I cannot achieve a single full compression of pump bulb. Squeezing the pump is like trying to compress a golf ball. Any advice? Is this going to require a revision or will it eventually correct itself?
Thanks

Re: "Faulty Valve"
I know there have been documented cases of pump problems over the years, as well as documented solutions. Check out this paper and see if the fix they had success with works on your pump:

Contact the Boston scientific rep directly. They are there to help. The valve block is rubber. There is a procedure that involves squeezing the valve block from end to end to unlock a stuck valve button. Dont remember the procedure exactly. AMS #800-328-3881 extension 6261
