Injury from jelqing - sharing and support are appreciated

Postby Fourtytwo00 » Sun Jun 27, 2021 10:51 am

Hi guys, I'm 42 married and a father of 2.
I self inflicted my ED doing just 3 jelqing sessions 7 months ago. Actually I wasn't interested in getting bigger, I was preatty satisfied of my penis. Mostly I did it for curiosity, something to do after having a shower, I never thought it could change my life forever.
I lost my erections. I became a little bit depressed and low on testo one month later. I still have morning wood but not so strong like before. I feel few pleasure touching my gland and I can barely masturbate one or two times a week. I had some windows (2-4 days) when I felt almost normal one time every month and a half. . I hope TRT could improve my baseline but I don't have significant expectations.
I'm not yet confortable with the idea of getting an implant, I don't know if my wife likes the idea, but I started to think about it. I'm a little bit worried about numbness: my glans does not engorge like before and I'm not sure if this situation makes me a good candidate for an implant.

I'd like to share my experience and to know if someone here get a satisfactory result implanting after jelq injury.

Hey man, my ED was caused by jelqing and penis enlargement/stretching exercises too. They can definitely easily permanently damage your ability to get hard. Have you tried pills yet like Viagra or Cialis? That should be your first stop before thinking about an implant. I used the pills for several years but eventually they quit working; I just got my implant operation done 3 days ago and am currently in bed recovering.

Tried cialis daily but it doesn't work. I still have to perform other medical tests but I have few hopes. And know it's not in mind as my urologist initially suggested. I know myself and I know I did some permanent damage. Stress, negative feelings came later. After the fact. Before I was preatty ok.

Yeah don't listen to the bs about it being in your head. For some reason that's the go-to line for less knowledgeable urologists. Viagra tends to have a stronger effect than Cialis so I would definitely give that a try, maybe with a cock ring as well. If those don't work the next step would be injections, though not everyone is open to injecting their penis every time they want to have sex. The injections are very powerful however and work great for a lot of guys here. As you know, the next option is the implant which is what I went for after pills no longer worked and injections were too inconvenient and painful.

Welcome to the forum!

Do you have any other changes or symptoms in the penis or pelvic region?

No other symptoms in the pelvic region.

It's rather difficult to engorge my glans and my penis in general and I lost some sensitivity.
Morning wood is weaker. I can't say if I'm losing some girth or not. I think it's the effect of being less engorged. Blood doesn't flow nor stay in like before so I think it can't look like before.

In a couple of month I started to suffer from a rather strong insomnia and my hormones went under (I made blood works 3-4 months before and everything was OK). Now I feel better but I still need 50mg seroquel and 37.5mg trazodone for sleeping. I started a gonadotropin treatment but the only result was starting to have some mild night erection. I started also a shock wave treatment but I'm not sure if I will finish it. Two times after treatment I had prolonged and little bit painful erection in the night. They resolved in 2-3 hours.

I'm concerned about my loss of sensitivity and by the reduced engorgement because I don't how an implant could improve this. It's possible that my baseline could be improved treating my lack of testosterone and/or changing sleeping pills.

I will try stronger drugs like Viagra or Levitra just to see the difference.

About trimix / caverjet: I'm not so comfortable with the idea of regular injections. Maybe I could gain some years but at the end of the road the choice will be implant or nothing.

PS: Let me add one thing: it's not just about sex. It could sound weird but it's not the only thing I miss. I lost my erections but mostly the ability to enjoy life. Meeting people, having hobbies, planning for the future of my children, saving for their education.. well I miss all this stuff. I don't like being so focused on my penis. Commercials, films, music, dating with my wife at the restaurant almost everything just reminds me my condition so I tend to "give up" and it's not good. I'm working to regain a little bit of confidence in myself. I made some progress but it's not always easy.

I would investigate these two things thoroughly before entertaining any thoughts of an implant.
Pudendal nerve entrapment and or pelvic floor dysfunction.

Jelqing is known to cause either or both of these issues. One third or more of the penis is actually inside your body where it interacts with these muscles of the pelvic floor. The pudendal nerve travels through a complex path through these muscles and ligaments in the gluteal region and can become compressed or damaged.
Sudden sexual numbness is a sign that this nerve has been compromised somewhere on its path, sometimes pelvic pain can appear as well in the penis itself or the pelvic floor.
If the penis is damaged or injured it can set of a reaction whereby these muscles go into spasm which can result in ED and sexual numbness. Blood flow can also be affected by compression of the blood supply to the penis.

The pudendal nerve is responsible for reflex erections and sensory nerve endings in the glans.
It is interesting that you had painful erections at night after the shockwave therapy, this may actually be making your issue worse by further aggravating a nerve issue or further aggravating pelvic muscles which are in spasm. The pain is also a symptom of a pelvic floor dysfunction.

Go and see a pelvic floor specialist who has experience with male sexual dysfunctions.

I was thinking along those same lines but I'm glad I didn't try to expound on that as Simbarn's depth of knowledge on the topic far and I mean very far exceeds my depth of knowledge on the topic.

Thank you very much for your wisdom. I'll PM you later, I'd like to know which test / exam should be performed.

Does a jelqing injury can make me a poor candidate for an inplant? I'm not yet 100% ready for surgery but I need to read successful story. I'm afraid d about numbness, I mean I'm afraid surgery could fix my erection issues but still feeling few pleasure. Perhaps using my penis just for peeing knocked out my libido.

As I mentioned a pelvic floor specialist would be the best to consult and they will know how to examine you. A urologist will not be of much help as most do not understand or recognise pelvic floor conditions. They are aware of pudendal nerve entrapment and may refer you to a neurologist.
