Incontinence when using injection?
Incontinence when using injection?
I am 6 months post Radical Prostate Removal (no nerves saved). Have been using vacuum pump but not happy with results. Still have some incontinence issues. My question is can you still have incontinence issues with an erection from injection? If yes, what suggestions do you have?
Re: Incontinence when using injection?
I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is based on my own experiences at best and hallucinations and/or delusions at worst. Always remember that internet forum advice is likely worth what you paid for it, or worse. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.

The following may be TMI. I apologize if it is.
There is no one answer to your question. On top of that I'm not entirely clear on your question.
I'll start of by saying that your incontinence may continue to slowly improve for a considerable time. For as much as 2 years or more.
The method I found that worked for me was by taking long walks. I worked up to 4 miles but it took me awhile to get there. The walks weren't for cardio exercise although I'm sure they helped in that department too. What I did was to walk with shorts on over just my tidy whities. No pads or tissue. The idea was to not pee myself. I did fail. There were times I bailed for the bushes and times I was showing.
Walking puts the Kegel muscles to the test especially as you get fatigued and your bladder starts to fill. I slowly built up the distance I could go and not pee myself. I eventually built up to 4 miles. It took a good while. The walking on a public street gives extra incentive to maintain control and to me was way more effective than doing kegel exercises.
I still can spot when making certain movements that strain and automatically trigger those abdominal muscles, especially if fatigued. If I'm working my butt off outside doing yard work, etc. and get wore out I'm at risk. But for the most part I'm good.

Yes, you can still have incontinence while having an injection erection. Was that your basic question?
I know pre ED (as in pre RRP) if I was totally boned out it was impossible for me to pee. Post RRP was still difficult to have a normal pee while boned out from an injection. However, during sexual activity, as the abdominal muscles were regularly relaxing and contracting I'd be leaking a lot.
Unless your wife is really sporting and not put off by some golden shower I suggest some serious solo practice. You may just have to lay it out to her that you have to do solo for awhile. Doing solo you can learn to control your leaks over time while you are being stimulated and go through varied muscle contractions and relaxations. As importantly you can learn to develop control during orgasm. Initially during orgasm you may produce impressive urine spurts which your wife or S.O. may not appreciate. I initially gained control of those fountains by approximating something akin to a ruined orgasm. This initially left me somewhat unsatisfied. Eventually I was able to learn to maintain sufficient sphincter muscle control while having an enjoyable orgasm. Then I brought my wife into the game. But hey, if you have a kinky wife that likes water sports bring her into the learning process. That isn't my wife.
However, rule #1 for sex after an R.P. for many men is to limit fluid intake before sex and to fully empty the bladder immediately beforehand. What works especially well is to take a shower immediately beforehand and while in the shower to void completely and then have some sexual thoughts while doing a bit of stroking, well as close to stroking as you can get flaccid. This can cause you to void what little pee was still lurking. Then go stick your prick and have fun.
