Have used Viagra for years but the dose needed has crept up to the full 100mg with marginal results and the side effects at that dose are rough.
Prescribed Trimix about a year ago. I forget the exact formulation, but Uro called it a standard starter dose. Doc, shot me up 2 units first time, observed reaction, then sent me home on the assumption that it would be fine. 5 hours later ER doc is lancing my junk.
I spend about a month working up the nerve and figured I would spin the wheel and try a lower dose. So I shot 1 unit and got no reaction. That's okay, at least it's not a trip to a hospital.
I wait a week and try again. This time I inject 1.5 units. I get the desired reaction immediately. Kind of hard to enjoy it with the thought of another trip to the ER hanging over my head but we make the most of it nonetheless. Set a timer for 2 hours. Still stiff as granite. I pound down a bunch of pseudoephedrine and hop in an ice cold bath. I spend about an hour and a half, alternately, soaking in an ice bath and marching up and down a flight of stairs. At coitous+4 hours I went to the ER of the other nearby hospital (I didn't wish to risk being seen by the same ER doc for the same problem).
Shortly after that I came down with a bad batch of kidney stones that, while not related to the ED, put me off experimentation for a while.
Since then I've been tested for Low-t (220 ng/dL) and began TRT with xyosted about 4 months ago. I feel worlds better overall, my libido is back, and my ED is ... ~better~. Erections do happen naturally, but they can be something of a struggle to get and keep (if that makes sense). I go in for a follow up testosterone test and maybe they'll up my dose which may or may not help the ED.
I was really looking forward to the certainty of injections, but at this point I'm terribly gun-shy. In my reading some have said that bimix may be less likely to trigger priapism, and one article specifically said that Alprostadil (caverject/edex) on its own only rarely triggered a priapism.
Sorry for writing out such a novel. Just frustrated and hoping someone else may have encountered similar obstacles and then found a way through.
TL:DR - Trimix triggers priapism even at lowest effective dose. What's likelihood of bimix or Alprostadil working without causing this reaction?
* - I'm not looking to replace my Uro here. Appointments are a bit far between though so getting as much info as I can.

Alprostadil is generally safer against scarring and priapisms.
Have you tried vigorous excercise to get your erections down. I'm saying keeping some weights or doing a ton of pushups. I also take my dog out for a vigorous run. This works every time.

On another message board, I saw exactly the same situation. The guy ended up trying bimix and all was well, and he ended up having predictable results with bimix. Turns out he was wildly too sensitive to the one extra ingredient that trimix contains. Hope you get this fixed, you've been through a lot.

Hope you find something that works. When a 100mg dose of Viagra began failing for me, not to mention the side effects, I went to Trimix. The first couple of years it worked fine, then began to fail. Glad I never had an issue like yours.

Here is the link I mentioned above in my post. It's on another message board, the guy there had exactly the very same issue. On page two of the conversation, he found the answer that worked 100% for him.
