Kept having TIAs. Finally, on my own I determined it was the Viagra causing them. Levitra & Cialis, same thing. Stopped the PDE5s & have been TIA free for 2 years now. My neurologist says he's seen this before.

I am legally blind in one eye, I had an Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy, in layman's terms I had a stroke in the eye. I was sent to a renowned Optic Neurologist at Scripts in San Diego by my ophthalmologist. The first question the neurologist asked me was have you been on Cialis or Viagra, which I had been. He said never take Cialis or Viagra again. He told me we can't say for sure this is what caused your problem, but there is an association. I have since change ophthalmologists and he also told me not to take those drugs. He says it could easily happen to the other eye then I would be legally blind.

Scary shit! I'm 77 and play once a month with young escorts. 80 mg of Sildenafil work best one hr out. WARNING!! DO NOT drink alcohol with this drug, TOXIC! one or two glasses of wine ok but no more than that. Twice I had major meltdowns after drinking and Sildenafil and didn't feel drunk at all. I have a history of stroke in my family (maternal side). My elderly mother has had a TIA or mini-stroke (we are not 100% sure). Also, my dad has high blood-pressure.

What kind of risk am I facing if I am on cialis/viagra for the long-term?

Yes I have had bad headaches from some tadalafil and at only 5 or 10mg.

Do you still take it and if so do you take it daily or only before activity? If taken daily, do these symptoms go away with time?
