Bit of a humblebrag here, but my girlfriend used to be a porn star. I revealed to her pretty early on that I've had erection problems ever since my circumcision in my mid 20s, and that I moved from pills to injections due to side effects. She was cool with it, which was a big relief to not have to hide it anymore or feel ashamed. Still, there are occasional issues, like when I could tell she was feeling horny a few nights ago and I didn't want to go through the whole injection process and deal with a 3 hour erection. I wish I could do "quickies" more easily and not have to "schedule" sex, which is why the idea of an implant still appeals to me, but she doesn't seem to think I need one. She's a very organized person who usually isn't bothered the limitations of injections. But I still feel bad about it sometimes so we had another talk about it because I wanted to see if there was anything I could do to make things better for her. She says she prefers scheduled injection sex over the constantly horny and always begging for sex her past partners have annoyed her with. She also mentioned that she first learned about injections in the porn industry, and it hadn't bothered her then either. She hadn't told me this during our first talk about injections. I can imagine injections would be almost mandatory for many guys to be able to perform under that kind of pressure. Just my two cents worth, but I think you need to determine that you are NOT married and as such no 100% commitment is due. If you want to get the implant then just do it. If you were married I would answer differently, but a girlfriend is just that. She could EASILY walk away tomorrow and leave you in the lurches to go over all of this all over again.

Also, you are important. She should not have veto powers to your comfort / anxiety / happiness.

Every one of my friends whose wives liked to "schedule" sex ended up in sexless marriages within 8 years. Tour mileage may vary.

Oh she has not said to not get one, just that she doesn't think I need one. She definitely said "It's your body so do it if you want to, but I don't think you need one." I'm in agreement for the time being. Also I'm still trying to buy a house in this insane real estate market and the cost would eat up a chunk of my down payment.

yeah at this point i find myself rooting for an economic collapse. I'm not sure how all these americans are affording $700,000 homes. The only thing that makes sense is they're all being bought up by wealthy boomers and corporations and foreign nationals to turn the rest of us into permanent renters. Maybe when the boomers start dying off all their hoarded wealth will finally circulate back into the economy.

We are do for a correction. With interest rates on the rise, many of those purchasing are paying cash from having sold their homes for high dollar in the Northeast and California and are heading for Arizona, Texas, and Florida.
Florida is forecast to increase it's population by 10 million people by 2030. Where they will all go is incomprehensible, but many are also leaving Florida for Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas. At least in Florida, many Canadians are selling and investing in Canadian properties or banking the money. They never went through the short sale debacle we did in 06/07 because their banks just said no, and wouldn't let owners off the hook. When I started my real estate career, interest rates were at 19%...they are now at 6-7 percent depending on credit, a far cry from 19%. Also, many banks are still holding onto foreclosures from the 06/07
fall and are renting them out. It will be interesting to see how it plays out the rest of this year and next. Investors are buying, but are buying in contract name only and then flipping it before they close.

I sure hope so. I've been praying for a "correction" for years now. I didn't have enough down payment saved up in the last correction. And every time I save up enough, home prices jump out of my reach again. I just dont understand where all this money is coming from.
