Does Lead Cause Erectile Dysfunction?

does lead cause erectile dysfunction? i'm 41 and i live in nyc and drink the water here.. so i'm concerned. i'm thnking about buying a water filter to filter out lead. can you guys please tell me:

1) does lead cause erectile dysfuntion? should i be concerned?

2) can you recommend a good water filter that filters out lead? or am i being crazy for considering buying a water filter for this purpose?

It's highly doubtfull that the water in NYC has lead levels high enough to be a concern. I've never heard of lead causing ED problems ... best to consult your doctor relating ED. As for a water filter ... "Google" it ... I'm sure you can find one to fit your needs.

Regardless of lead I use Brita filters all the time. Filtering will not hurt. In addition to that filtering removes traces of the chlorine smell. Not many people can feel it but I do notice the difference even though the water in my region is one of the best in the world.

NYC regularly tests it's water and the results normally place NYC among the top (purity) cities in the country. I would be more concerned with the paint If you live in a building built prior to 1978..

Dont think so. Usually ED is caused by diabetes, high BP, medication or maybe you going through the male menopause early.

Go see a Uro. I would also insist on trimix injecions over medications such as Cialis, and Viagra. Cheaper and with less side affects.

Hi Kuxiox, I found this bit of info, Adults often develop loss of sex drive, infertility, and, in men, erectile dysfunction (impotence) and this is from lead, you can get yourself a teat kit to find out were its coming from if that is your problem, but they say that NYC has the best water, if there is pipe and your in an old building it could be from that, as I dont think there would be any mains now left in lead pipe coming to your building.
But if you do have ED there are lots of ways to get it, I got mine from very bad night sweats which I had for 3 weeks, and after that had ED, but got over mine with herbs and a hornon, if you look under genral discussion for this tital, HERBS VERSUS DRUGS, HERBS MY CHOICE, it might help you, its cheap, if you want sex anytime you want it, then this is the way to go, not like drugs wait and hour or inject your penis to get a hard on, you acn get it hard anytime you want to.
