Post Surgery Erection
Post Surgery Erection
I was able to obtain an erection with the pump and help of pills about 12 months post surgery. However the last two weeks have been difficult in obtaining an erection. Had anyone experienced this issue. I have been working long hours and have been very stressed out lately.

Re: Post Surgery Erection
Hi Rob,
Stress is a killer of erections. Sometimes it can't be avoided. Especially at work. A good long walk or exercise works wonders on relieving stress. I know it's hard to do, try and fit in some time to burn off that stress. You'll thank yourself for it.
I'm 4 months out from RRP. Still can't get a full hard-on. Before surgery, on demand all the time, any time... But, it's getting better. VED helps, meds really don't, yet.

Age 54.
Open RRP in May of 2009. Gleason at biopsy, 3+3. Gleason after surgery, 3+4 with extra-prostatic extension. Stage III cancer. No incontinence issues. ED issues. Trimix for 5 months. Now, levitra alone is working at 10 mG.

Thanks for the reply. When things don't work like they should, I start thinking about the cancer and that can't help matters either! I have been better the last couple of days so mabye things are looking up!

Rob,
I wouldn't panic yet. For ANY guy, stress is a boner killer. Post Surgery, things are going to be even more sensitive. I have had to learn that there are just up and down days in the ED department. Diet, rest, mental stuff, emotional crap will all take their toll. Funny, there are good days and bad days at the gym, at work, at home...why are we surprised when we have bad boner days? Don't stress yourself out about this. Do something fun in the sex department - heck, give yourself a break and have a sex toys only day with your partner and watch how hard you get!

I have not had one yet. Taking "See Alice" ar 20 mg. I know it is only 6 weeks but I thought I'd have at least something with one partial nerve spared. Even when I use the pump and it gets bigger it is just not hard.
I'll be patient I guess.

Worried: you said that with the pump it get bigger but not hard? Sounds like you are not getting enough blood in there. Do you notice that it gets red or pumple?
