Implant at 29

Postby Daniel29 » Tue Sep 27, 2022 5:25 am

Hi everyone,
I have pssd due to anti depressant called sertralline. My life has been turned upside down with low libido and ed and I'm considering an implant. Does anyone know any good surgeons in Ireland or UK?

Implants are the last resort, while they do work every time (unless they break) they do not feel quite like the real thing. You should try pills, ved or injections first.

You should not do this. You are too young and once you've done it you can't go back. Even a well done implant is not near as good as a natural erection

I'm not sure that advice is for every younger man. If the doctors say that your ED is permanent, if in your heart you know they are right. Then there is nothing to go back to. Why wait for an erection that isn't returning? Why delay getting an implant that allows intercourse?

hey friend I was also taking sertraline and it caused the same thing, but that's only temporary. if you have stopped antidepressants try to do sports and relax and that your hormones are good and libido returns. If you don't have any injuries to your penis or venous leak or anything, if it's like you say, just relax with antidepressants, your libido returns when you lead a healthy and natural life. As they have mentioned before, there are pills and many other things before the implant for their own thing. My question is if you don't have a libido why do you want an implant? Without an implant or with an implant, your body requires libido and this is achieved, for example, by playing sports, eating well, in some cases small doses of anxiolytics are good. don't worry libido returns as soon as your mind is better.

I tried pills they don't work anymore. The last 4 woman I tried to be with it never worked.

Not being sarcastic, but have you also explored a therapist? Unpacking what emotional baggage you might have?

Libido (IMHO) is as much about the mental as it is the physical.

Surely, I am an advocate for implants. Hell, I wish I'd had explored this in my 20's. Now that I have its been a game changer! TRULY!

Happy to discuss further. PM.

I agree with SquadCaptain74, you should go to an andrologist at your age and not a urologist, there are many variables and therapies for libido, you may have the exams out of place, estradiol / testosterone / dhea-s / etc etc, to me 30 days ago he added mesterolone and now the strength and stamina of erection and arousal has doubled, I had to stop the implant to take time now that things are going well, you never know, a smaller pump could come out or softer in the meantime, just to give an example
