Diabetic issues affecting orgasm ?

Postby EricDraven » Tue Sep 27, 2022 1:20 pm

My diabetes was uncontrolled for a few years. It’s now been controlled for about 2 years. However, when I orgasm now, either nothing comes out, or if I squeeze the head hard enough, 1 big drop of semen will leak out. Sometimes the head area hurts really bad and turns red when I try to ejaculate and nothing comes out. Doctor said diabetes probably damaged nerves in that area. If I wait around 3 weeks between orgasms, it’s basically the same. Just a dribble
54 yo, type 2 diabetes, open heart surgery. Used Viagra for 10 years, then it stopped working. Been celibate for 10 years because I couldn’t get approved for an implant. Implanted on 2-16-23 by the Veterans hospital, titan 24cm, infrapubic

I do not orgasm as I did 5years ago. I have diabetes also but how much it is responsible is difficult to say. All of us are aging. So none of us will be as virile tomorrow as we were yesterday. Diabetes can affect so much and does not help with these problems.

Diabetic for 30 years, ED issues for 25 years, injections/Viagra stopped being effective 8 years ago, and I haven’t been able to orgasm for over 12 months.

In addition to peripheral neuropathy, which reduces sensitivity on the penis, diabetics also develop autonomic neuropathy which affects involuntary functions, including sexual response to stimulation. Aging diabetics don’t have it easy. Luckily, I can still keep my wife satisfied with a VED and Osbon constriction bands.

It's not easy getting older (or as I say 'Growing Up") I do not have Diabetes but do have difficulty getting an orgasm. After I finish taking care of my wife, I concentrate on myself with her vibrator. It takes time but I finally get there...feels good but it is retrograde. My biggest difficulty is trying to force it when I feel it coming on, not relaxing, and losing it...Happens every time until I force myself to relax and stop thinking and pressuring myself.

I wonder if the OP is still around?

@Alan810 & dtwarren1942 You two guys are my heroes. 80 some yrs old and still taking care of the wife without resorting to an implant. I don't fault those that get implant and are happy, but I do think these two have shown what can be accomplished with perseverance. At least in their case.

Not even a yr since my last post here and my function is noticeably declined. Funny I was still trying to convince my self of chasing the woman 17yrs younger than me. She wants us to be friends. Because age doesn't matter. It could have worked if she had two FWB's and me.

Following my last response here as it only get worse I guess.
Cialis 2.5 daily has given me more night erections and morning wood. Seems less and less able to orgasm. I will have a wet dream if I go 8-9 days, yet been difficult to get myself off. Been about two weeks since any orgasm. The closest to a wet dream two weeks ago was like this also. Spent an hour working on this last night to no result. About 3 drops after I gave up and sat on toilet. I pulled everything out of the drawer, rings, condoms, lube, prostate vibrator and penis cup vibrator. No joy.
My Diabetes numbers are not perfect but the Dr. finds them acceptable.
Edit: Not a full hour, battery died, lol.

Diabetes changes many things and as you age and it adds to it. I take meds for BPH and it causes you to ejaculate into the bladder so you get little or no output of semen. If I don't climax for a week or so then sometimes I will get some volume must most times no. Just something I have learned to live with but not like about being older and sicker. But on the positive side even though I have to work at it I can for the most part still climax so not complaining.
