Trimix questions

What like to say I been injecting trimix for a year now with great results. I also really enjoy this website. I get much more useful information here than I do from the urologist. I think it may be that doctors don't always get a lot of feedback from their patients.

I have 2 questions to ask you guys.

Iv'e noticed that since I started to inject the shaft of my penis when erect is much thicker than the glans or head. Before they were the same circumference. My wife has noticed that and I have noticed a difference when we have sex. Tighter lol

Im not very large when flaccid so I dont have a large area to inject so I been inject in an area about an inch from the base. Because I am afraid of scaring I was wondering if its ok to go past the middle of the shaft towrds the head? Are the results still good, etc?

I have nothing for you sir, but the same concerns are stopping me from trying injections (at the moment anyway).
The thought of making things worse causes much anxiety. I would also like to know of any techniques at all that can keep the risk of complications ie scarring / plaque to an absolute minimum.

I think getting a thicker shaft is great!! What guy wouldnt want that?? I think sacring isnt that bad either

I have not experienced my shaft expanding at a greater rate than my glans. My thought is that Trimix primarily causes the CC to expand with increased bloody flow. Accordingly, when you inject, your CCs expand mostly your shaft and contribute little to your glans expansion.

I think you can inject up to about 1/2 inch below you glans, but the closer you get to the glans, nerves become more concentrated. You can probably inject closer to your base, but since the base normally has more girth, you may need a longer needle.

Dogmeat, I believe under ten percent of guys who inject experience scarring. You can reduce the risk of scarring by avoiding injecting in the same place for as long as possible. You can accomplish this by alternating sides and moving your injections up an down your shaft. I personally take a low dose of daily Cialis which enables me to generate a slight chubby prior to injecting, which increases the target area. My Uro also advised me to place my thumb under my shaft while simultaneously pushing down on my glans with my index finger. This stretches the skin and makes spotting small blood vessels to avoid much easier.

In my opinion, penile scarring is a minor inconvenience if you are otherwise unable to generate a decent erection.

I think DT hit the nail on the head. Trimix does work on the CC(shaft) more and the Glans less ( the glans is the topmost part of the Corpus Spongiosum that smaller area under the shaft that gets a good expand in a natural, but not so much in Trimix -- mine stays fairly flat. Maybe it's been sucha long time since your last real natural erections you forgot how big and mushroom-like the glans can get in a natural erection and is not so big now. But if the shaft is overtaking the glans in girth - well that's just good news for both of you as you have said.

My glans gets a good expansion with Trimix but not as firm as an old natural erection. But overall size (since I still use a VED pump regularly) I think it is larger and more expanded than the old days (just not as firm) -- so that is good for me.

Sorry, should have been more clear.

My only real concern is developing hardened plaque and therefore getting peyronies or something.
Basically it's the fear that it will make things worse so even injecting won't work.

I know I sound overly anxious, but I don't know how long I might need to rely on help to have erections.

Every medical treatment or procedure carries risk of unwanted side effects. A good doctor and an informed patient working in partnership is the best way to minimize those inherent risks.

Information from my doctor and from my pharmacist and confimed by various experienced users on this is tells me that the best way to minimize the risks of penile injections is to understand and follow the procedural protocal outlined by the doctor. Examples include alternating sides and skipping a day between injections. Others I would emphasize include using alcohol swabs to sterilize the injection site prior to each injection AND sterilizing the rubber top of the vial prior to loading the syringe.

Very simply: ask the doctor what the risks are and how to minimize them. Then do what he says. Fill in the blanks by exchanging info with fellow prickstickers. Finally, have follow-up visits with the uro as he suggests so he can check the little man and make sure everything is good.

I've been injecting for almost 2 years and have shown no signs of any side effects that I can see or feel. Next uro appt is in November and I will review the protocol (and the results) with the doctor once again and report any changes he suggests.

I'm new here, and new to injections. My uro injected 10units of trimix during an office visit on Monday, and Mr Wiggly showed the first signs of life since my RP 8 months ago. Nothing spectacular, but still encouraging and lasting 30-45 min. I filled the Trimix Rx that day.

I tried my 1st stab at it 24 hours ago, using 16units and an autoinjector. [I did pre-load the syringe and it was stored at 65-68F room temperature for about 6 hours before use, but I don't think that made any difference based on what I've read about trimix.]

I thought I had proper aim, but I'm at a disadvantage and need to use a mirror due to my big belly and small member. I injected near the base, at what I would guess to be 2-3 o'clock. There was little resistance to the injection.

I'm guessing I missed the correct spot, since it did not have the intended effect. However, what really got my attention was that in about 15-20 minutes I began to feel a strong ache in one testicle, which intensified and lasted about 90 minutes. I took 2x30mg Sudafed (not sure if that helped) and the pain gradually subsided. After about 6 hours I was back to normal, but it was an unpleasant episode.

I'm now considering another attempt, 36 hours after the first, on the other side but maybe a bit further from the base. I cound not find any information about trimix causing testicular pain. Is this a known complication and, if so, is it due to injection technique or another factor?

Update - 2nd injection worked as advertised, which was both a relief and a release.

Wasn't quite firm enough for penetration, but remained firm for about an hour and no pain. I'm convinced my 1st injection was positioned way too low, possibly below the base of the shaft.

After my first failed attempt, I almost decided to wait until I could get back to my uro. Glad I didn't!

So in a few days I'll up the dosage from 15 units, likely to 20 units.

There is a learning curve to that sticking stuff. Even after a while you may have a mis-fire so to speak.

But I am a beleaver in injections.
