PT-141: Libido Booster and (maybe) a Little Natural Erection

I had been using PT-141 prior to implant, and it was great. I am happy to report that PT-141 is just as great post-implant, and has some added perks for us implantees.

Here is what happens about an hour after injecting it into the area above your thigh or anywhere you have bit of fat:
(If you are needle-shy, don't worry...the needle is so tiny you will not feel anything)

1. your libido kicks into high gear. For most people (including me), the effect lasts for 24-36 hours.

2. Everyone knows that with an implant, you can't have a natural erection. But after injecting, when stimulated in some way (visually, physically or otherwise), the PT-141 gives me about 20% of a natural erection by filling the spongiousum with blood. And in doing so, it gives the penis a nice roundness even pre-pumping.

(The spongiosum is a mass of erectile tissue that lies along the underside of the penis and is located below the implant tubing. It accounts for much less of the blood flow during a natural erection than the area that the tubing replaced.)

My theory--and it is only a theory: the libido kick + stimulus sends a lot of blood rushing into the penis. Pre-implant, that blood would flow to the corpus cavernum (the area now occupied by the tubing). But since that area is no longer available, the spongiousum gets more flow than it would otherwise.

I want to be clear: it is definitely not the same size you would get naturally. Still, I find it very satisfying.

The other thing I should add is that I also take 5mg Cialis daily. So it is possible this further enhances the effect.

Interested to hear if other PT-141 users experience something similar.

I’ve never used PT but I do use 5mg cialis daily and in the last few months have noticed an increase in the natural blood flow in the gland and in the under shaft area. So might be as much the cialis for you as the PT. When the wife flirts or messes around or if I catch her getting out of shower I still get that slight surge in my shaft whether pumped or not.

That's good to know about the 5mg of cialis or in my case Tadalafil because I hope to have surgery in 2023 and take it for my BPH and it works very well but did not help with the ED. We will see.

I’ve used PT-141 a number of times and written about it here before. There are a handful of posts about it. You’ll be able to find some reactions to it already documented there. I like it a lot.


About 30 mins after taking a shot of PT-141 I start to feel very slightly queasy and unwell. Very slightly. But about 20-30 mins later that feeling has passed and my libido goes up. The quality of my erections (I’m not yet implanted. Have used Trimix for several years) goes up. Not enough that I could have penetrating sex without a shot of trimix, but definitely better.

The effect last 12-18 hours. The intensity of the effect and its duration is dose dependent. At a low or medium dose I’m hornier and have better erections. I want to go a round, or two, or three in the sack. Might want to go again a couple hours later. If I take a high dose I am so horny I’ve described it as selfish (although my partner didn’t seem to mind). I went multiple rounds and later when I was on my own masturbated several times as well. I think I had 6 or 7 orgasms over the next 18 hours. I woke up in the middle of the night erect, grinding the mattress. It was a bit like being 13yo again. It was a little distracting. I had a one track mind for a while.

I haven’t used it more than once in a week. I’ve heard that it’s not as effective if used close to a previous dose. That would make sense as it’s a centrally acting drug. Unlike Trimix which is injected directly into the penis and directly changes the blood flow in/out of the penis, PT-141 is an indirect centrally acting drug. It crosses the blood brain barrier and get the brain to emit the signals/neurotransmitters to increase libido.

I think it’s a useful tool. I wouldn’t use it daily (or even weekly) but think of it as a fun thing to use if I know I’m going to be having sex in an hour or two and might want to go a few rounds and be pretty vigorous about it.

Cialis helps the glans after implant (in most men). The blood flow helps to engorge the head and keep the glans warm. It really helped me. But I take 20mg every other day.

Is PT-141 simply a test booster or is there more to it? I've read some positive reports, and I'd love to give it a try, but all my testosterone bloodwork comes back as high-normal, so i'm unsure if it would help me. I'm also in Canada so unsure how I would get ahold of it.

It’s not related to testosterone. Your T-level shouldn’t determine if your doc will prescribe it.
