Does Larger Girth = Longer Needles?

Postby Kiawahgolf » Thu Jan 19, 2023 4:50 pm

Hello,

I just picked up my first batch of Trimix and am curious if the 5/16 will be sufficient for larger girths or if I should bump up to 1/2 inch? I obviously want to use the smallest needle possible.

Thank you!

Larger girth probably has little if any effect on the depth the needle needs to penetrate. For comfort the gauge of the needle is more important.

You can test to see if the length of the needle is adequate by pulling the plunger out slightly once fully inserted. You should see a bit of blood drawn into the syringe if you have reached into the corpus.

I used 1/2" in an auto eject device. You can set the device to any depth you want.

I wouldn't go any smaller than 30 gauge needles. The higher the number the skinnier the needle.

My situation could be slightly different as I had girth injections over the previous year so I’m afraid the extra layers of collagen tissues will cause issues with reaching the correct depth.

Seems like I’ve had this conversation before, but things change and we get new guys going to injections, so here goes.

I don’t know for sure if a guy with more girth should use a longer needle, but I think it would be smart. No, you don’t need anything an inch long. But 1/2” seemed to be ideal for me and pre-implant my girth was roughly 4 7/8 flaccid, 6” erect.

My go to needle over 32 years of using bimix. Trimix, Quadmix was the 29 gauge, 1/2” insulin syringe. I did try 5/16 length and yeah, I could make them work by pressing down really hard but I ended up missing my corpora with them, and having to press down left some bruises on occasion.

I suspect if I did the math or had kept track I’ve probably self-injected over 4000 times. Using the 29 ga x 1/2” I can’t think of more than a couple of times I injected out of zone. Didn’t seem to hurt anything. I just had a very warm, very large flaccid for 6 or 8 hours afterwards. Enhanced blood flow.

Use what works for you. But if you have a fat one, a really short needle might not get the medication where you want it. 5/16 is not very deep and you do have to penetrate the sheath which overlays the corporal bodies.

My girth is over 6” and I have better results using the 1/2” vs 5/16”. No misses or bent needles. I use the 30 gauge.

I really appreciate your insight from your personal experience. I am 6-6.5 girth but I am more concerned about the collagen layers that have formed. I will go with the 1/2 needle and not look back.

Just to make sure I understand correctly.. if I am going in at 10 or 2 I will inject at a right angle but with the needle aimed slightly down towards the middle of my penis?

Thank you!

Thank you! It seems we are in a similar position so I will go with the 1/2. Just to reiterate my question above - if I inject at 10 or 2 I will go in at 90 degree angle but with the needle aimed slightly down towards middle of penis?

Thank you!!

Google a diagram of a cross section of a penis and study it closely. Learn where everything is and what your target area is. 10 and 2 are only 2 choices out of many.

If I were you I would try it alone the first time instead of keeping your girl waiting. Also have a plan for IF your penis stays hard longer than 4 hours

Good luck

Same here. My girth is over 6-1/2" erect and 5-1/2" flaccid. The first time at my uro's office he injected me with a 1/2" 30 gauge needle. Every time I got the new meds it came with 1/2" 30 gauge needles. One time the Trimix arrived with 5/16" 31 gauge needles. The first time I tried injecting with the 5/16" needle it bent 90 degrees. That was scary.
