Where to go from here

Hey guys...

First post. I live in NY and I'm 42.

I've had some real issues with ED going back about 15 years. It's gotten worse over the years to the point where I need to address.

I'm healthy. No real issues aside from this.

I went to my urologist and had a Doppler and based on the results he said normally he doesn't suggest this but he wanted me to go for a pelvic angiogram because of his findings. I had low inflow.

I went for the angiogram and turns out that one artery is looped which makes it harder to get blood flow and the other one seems to him like there was trauma at one point.

My options right now are go to Dr Goldstein in San Diego and he more than likely will do a penile revascularization which evidently I'm a candidate for according to the doctor I saw previously which is pretty rare evidently. My other option is to just go and get implant. I have not done injections and I'm up to 40 mg of Cialis. I'm on TRT.

I'll have one day a week of a pretty good erection and the rest of the week it's shitty at best and that's even on the Cialis and a bunch of other supplements plus the testosterone.

Is there anyone here who could speak to my options from experience?

If the surgeon thinks revascularization surgery has a good prognosis that is what I would go for. Save the last resort for just that, your last resort.

If you do a search here for revascularization I think someone had that done a couple years ago.
Just my 2¢ worth. Penile surgery is rough. No way I would want to try revascularization surgery on a maybe it will work. It would have to be 110% guaranteed to work. Otherwise let's just do the implant and be finished. Plus the fact you have to travel from NY to CA for the surgery. The return home trip might not be comfortable. And what if there are other issues/problems after you get back home?
Best of luck with however you decide. I would not want to have to make that decision.

revascularization of the penis creates an anastomosis between the artery and the dorsal vein or artery of the penis. the probability of thrombosis of the anastomosis is 50%, in this case the operation is considered unsuccessful. If the operation is successful, then its efficiency is also only 50%. it's all a temporary solution. besides this, there may be post-operative complications that will greatly affect your mental state. they will cut your stomach, take out an artery, cut your penis, attach an artery there. can you imagine? the so-called "Viagra" operation is not recommended by competent leading urologists. I was offered such an operation after they bandaged the veins with terrible complications, it did not work. the member is disfigured, the psyche is broken, I don’t want to live. the pills don't work. Should soon decide on an implant. I wish I could take it all back, take the pills and put the implant in at the end. But you can't take back what you've done. Dr. Kurbatov and Dr. Kapto from Moscow are charlatans, let the whole world know these bastards. I do not recommend revascularization, drink pills, or put an implant and enjoy life. You will cripple yourself with revascularization.

I’d try Trimix and a VED first before settling on surgery.

Many men use trimix for many years some even past 30 or so. I agree that he should look into the injection route before getting a implant. A lot of people that get the implant is not because injections stop working but they get sick of the hassle with injections.

I got the implant because injections stopped working AND I hated the hassle of injecting from the start.

Yeah a lot of people don't like the needle thing and I completely understand. But then a lot of people seem to jump on implants not because the injections stop "working" but it seems once the implant takes and everything works good it seems like such less of a hassle as having to stick a needle in your junk and keep cold etc.

Oh definitely in my case the implant is so much better. Once ED started it was pills, they failed in a couple years. Injections worked fine for a couple years, then started to fail. Hated both methods as it meant scheduling sex, a real mood killer for me. Plus, it was like going through ED again and again. Healing was very tough from the surgery, hurt for almost 6 months. But I wish I could have done the implant before taking the first Viagra.
