Sudafed

Postby Howling8 » Thu Jul 27, 2023 6:58 pm

Has anyone had success using Sudafed to come quicker? I read that it's good for retrograde which I have from surgery but not sure if it's ok for DE.
Thanks

Per the Mayo Clinic ( https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-con ... medication):

"Medications sometimes used to treat delayed ejaculation include:

Amantadine, a Parkinson's medication
Buspirone, an anti-anxiety medication
Cyproheptadine, an allergy medication"

Also, most SSRI class antidepressants can cause delayed ejaculation (anorgasmia).

I did Monday on 30mg. Didn’t come during sex. I still had to bring myself to the trigger point and then my wife finishes me orally. I got there pretty quickly too. Not sure if it was the Sudafed or abstinence from masturbating and porn for a (tough lol) week. Dr Kohler from Mayo said to use 60mg two hours before Sex. I’ll keep experimenting and look forward to hearing if anyone else doing that with success. I have retrograde ejaculation too from my last surgery. No ejaculation but still a good orgasm.
Thanks

I took 60mg two hours before sex as my urologist recommended. I also took 100 mg of Viagra. Nice big hard on but couldn't get to the trigger point with my wife tonight. I tried by myself later on. and had to really focus to come, It was a relief but I'm disappointed that I can't just enjoy sex with my wife like we used to. One day at a time. Better luck next time

Yes, I’ve tried Sudafed, and it does help. I usually combine it with Viagra (Sildenafil), and that combination works well for me. Sudafed helps with retrograde issues, especially after surgery, as it can tighten the bladder neck and reduce retrograde ejaculation. For DE, adding Viagra makes everything work smoothly, improving both timing and sensation. However, it’s important to use only high-quality Viagra (Sildenafil) for the best effect and to minimize any potential side effects.

Interesting, because Sudafed is a recommended antidote to priapism. If it causes erections to subside, I would think that is contrary to trying to overcome DE.
