Would anyone be able to tell me what this means in layman’s terms please:
“The proximal part of the penile frenulum, divided during his circumcision, is tender, and on examination retained stitch, sign of infection or other abnormality.”
I have had a lot of chronic pain by my frenulum, this lasted 4 months post implant and now has continued post revision… just looking for answers.
Thanks,
J

In simple terms, it means that the part of the penile frenulum that was cut during circumcision is sensitive and hurts. When the area was checked, there was a stitch still present, which could be a sign of an infection or some other issue.

Thanks, I appreciate your response.
I know you're not a surgeon, but any idea if this issue will subside? I have been dealing with this for months.
My surgeon did not explain this.
Thanks again,
J

Sorry man I was circumcized at birth and thus know nothing of adult circumcisions. My advice is to consult with a new urologist that doesn't balk at your questions. Even if it is not local and just a video call, you may gain some insights you are looking for.
