So my first attempt at an implant was June 30 and I was on the table and under but they couldn’t place a catheter so they had to bail on the implant. Instead they did a roto-rooter procedure to scrape out some scar tissue from some earlier radiation treatment.
I had an exam last week and got the green light to go ahead so they put me on the calendar for early December.
Now I was just called and told they had a cancellation for this Friday (10/6) and asked if I wanted to take the slot since I’ve been in limbo for so long? Hell, yes!!
A nice early birthday present since I turn 66 next Wednesday!

I hope the surgery goes well.
If your recovery also goes well, you'll be able to give a partner a nice early Christmas present.
