Why do you think inflatable implants are two cylinders instead of one big cylinder?

Curious why the design is two smaller cylinders put together instead of just one large cylinder.

Because the penis is made up of 2 corpora cavernosa separated by the urethra.
Each cylinder in a corpora.

What advaita said

Also, because transgender (female to male) patients do not have corpora, they use one big cylinder as you describe. Check out the ZSI 475 FTM implant

There is no way to use only one cylinder, because of the Urethra position. The only option will be on top of it, and this will cause pressure on the urethra, especially when inflated.
