Thanks guys!
Begin at 7am today 12/4/23.
Coloplast Titan, one touch.
Appreciate those who've message me.
Really appreciate this site and the participants, creators and maintainers.
Once you get past the fact that an implant is the solution, the focus kicks it.
The hospital is 19 minutes away from home. They said Thursday i should be home by early afternoon today...an outpatient procedure. The surgery is a short process....
Also, told me to expect drains and tubes...I'm assuming Cath.
Bottom line:
You have made this mess a whole lot less.
Bless you all....totally grateful!

11 months postop here and loving my Titan!
You got this brother. Recovery seems so slow those first 2 or 3 months but eventually you’ll emerge on the other side, like slowly waking from a dream, and it will all be worth it.

You will do fine. Be patient. Sometimes healing is not linear.

Re: Today has come 12/4/23
Hi guys,
What a HELL of an initiation into the club....
Thanks for the pm's. Here's the scoop on my implant.
Short version: All is good!
Long version:
Reported at 630. It was 15 minute drive from my home.
My wife went and drove.
My wife stayed till 715. Had to goto work. I walk her downstairs to the truck. Kiss.
"I'll be praying, let me know what's happening".
They called me back at 720. It's on!
"Put all your clothes in the bag, change into this gown"
Yeah... it's getting real.
As I was changing my surgeon comes in.
"I'll talk to you when you get dressed".... then she came in and helped me dress.
Calmed me immediately.
The urologists name is Dr. Lynette Faith Payne.
Would I recommend her?
She's tops. Period. Did injections, prostrate cancer protocol (negative cancer... positive on BPH and infection last year, prostrate biopsy 2022 and now this... huge procedure.
If you're within the Beckley area and don't go to her, OK... but I trust her.
She says to me:
"I hear you're a Nervous Nellie"...
Yup.
"This is a happy day. I've done hundreds of these. We're going to be fine".
She answered all my questions. I felt so stupid. I only asked a couple. And felt dumb asking. She clearly had this.
Nurses in, three. I answered questions and prep from 730 to 8. IV and all.
Anesthetist in too, questions.
I had two requests:
1) tell me what you're injecting...I don't need many details.
2) tell me before you put me under.... no details needed unless you want to give.
He relayed it to his team.
We laughed. I want some propofol for work... you go out... time warp... you're done. He laughed. A side gig option... he was awesome.
805am let's roll:
Here we go. Coitus me!!! Omg they're really gonna do this.
In the monitors are up. Blood pressure came back to normal. (White coat syndrome spiked it first to 150/95
Went to 120/65 now) I'm OK.
Oxygen mask. Deep breaths.
I'm going to give you the first drug.
Midazolam.
Mmmmmmbaby. Love that for 5 minutes.
Keep breathing deep.
OK here comes the propofol. Get ready for the time travel part. You'll feel fuzzy, calm, might sing... then they're waking me up.
Cath in. Ugh
"You can get dressed" Dressed??
Heck... where is my phone? I did bring food abs diet coke too. Screw the clothes. I'm hungry!!! (Stopped food Saturday, drinks Sunday at 5... my call)
Pain...1 to 10? Hard to tell.
The Cath and inguinal canal track are obvious but not bad, really. I was in pain going in due to the normal aches.
I'm home by 2. Ice packs going. All prescribed drugs going including anti nausea. Hydrocodone makes me sick.
I'm not into more pain. When I do procedures, I take enough to get by. To much, I think I'm cured. A little pain is needed.
Been doing exactly as told.
Cath coming out at 9am tomorrow.
Slightly pulling pump down beginning Thursday.
Cycling implant soon. Probably week 2.
I want to tell you guys .. huge thanks!
I can't thank those who maintain this sight enough!
What a huge relief!
Thank you all!! I'll keep updates. P M me anytime.
