When did you sack look normal again after surgery?

The first 5 days my sack was black and blue on the bottom half. As of day 8 post op, seems like the bruising is going away but my sack is red and still really sensitive/achey.

How long did it take for your sack to look normal again? And how long did it take for it to be pain free?

Totally normal early cycling is a quite painful affair which is why traditionally doctors were taught to have the patients wait 4-6 weeks until EID realized that was problematic as the psuedocapsule begins forming right after surgery and for the next 3 months afterwards.

Since you just had your scrotum cut into I would expect it would take several weeks or so for it to calm down mine started looking more normal once the incision closed.

Mine was very swollen and bruised after surgery. It took a couple months to calm down.

after first surgery it was pretty black/blue and swollen. After revision surgery was fairly minimal and I was able to inflate/deflate and feel pump faster. Still took weeks for both surgeries to look completely normal although comfort was better with the revision.

My dr & his nurse both said I had a large scrotum so that might relate to my recovery. My bruising was minimal but the scrotum was swollen. I'd almost call it puffy. Other than the incision & stitches it didn't look very bad.

My memory is poor on when I started to cycle. I want to say it was at one week. I do remember after my first lesson I told the nurse that I was going to wait a day or two longer. I wasn't real sure about finding the release button every time but the nurse didn't have any trouble finding it. Once I figured out the button cycling was fairly easy. Strangely, pumping didn't cause much glans discomfort for me. Most of my discomfort was in the cruz. My glans would tingle like an itch. Pain only if I stayed inflated for a long time. I usually watched YouTube & sometimes would fall asleep. Pain would finally wake me up.

Definitely. Something to consider for sure. I didn’t choose this approach because I didn’t want the scar, and also because I think there is additional tubing, which would be especially bad for me because it would probably show due to my low body fat.

I had infrapubic and had very little swelling and only a quarter size purple spot on my scrotum which went away within a couple weeks. I cycled at day 10 with very little discomfort. My scrotum did however get sore from squeezing the pump for the first few months then it toughened up to where it’s as tough as leather now.my scar is very minimal and not noticeable at all unless you look really close and under plenty lite. I keep it shaved clean and still it’s not noticeable. I’ve lost about 40 pounds since surgery and if standing straight up or laying flat on my back you can see one of the tubes just a tiny bit where it comes out and curves around the left side of my dick. Maybe about the size of a pea top and center. From this point it’s tucked in tight and completely unnoticeable even if you feel for it.

I personally doubt there would be a big difference. The dr still has to create a spot for the pump & place it. Remember on the pubic approach he is doing it all blind & by feel. I would hesitate to say that my actual incision hurt very much. I think having the pump there was a bigger issue.

I personally wasn't impressed by the video of a pubic implant that I saw. Remember, the tubing comes out of the corpra backwards. Tubing has to be looped around the penis then into the scrotum for the pump. Some drs are really poor at keeping the tubing from bunching up & causing issues at the penis base.

Also, if you go to the general section where there are links to implant studies. There is a study that shows the AVERAGE length of implant used during penoscrotal approach is shorter that the AVERAGE implant length used in scrotal approach. No explanation is given for the difference & drs all swear they used what was measured.

Bottom line is the dr is going to be doing shit to your penis & nearby areas. It will likely cause some pain. All of the pain responds to medicine. Some of the medicine is available as generics & over the counter cheaply. The pain does go away. The joy of having a functional penis stays. Good trade in my mind.

For what little this might mean. My dr will not use the pubic approach. Says whatever benefits it has aren't worth the potential risk to the nerve that is there.

I agree with you; I would not consider anything but the penoscrotal approach, despite longer and more painful recovery.
