Spent $5k on this and did nothing. Went for an inflatable implant. All covered by Medicare.

I will second the original poster.
Save your money this doesnt work.
And I really wish it did. If it did, I wouldn't care I would gladly spend 10k even.
It's snake oil.... a too good to be true sales gimmick that guys like us are willing to try out of desperation.

What is "this"? Are we taking about Gainswave, some home device or focused shockwave from a real doctor

I got it done at one of those mens clinics,
With a professional high end machine.
Granted it did not involve a doctor, but pro nurses.
Would it matter if it was a doctor doing the treatment vs nurse? Asking honestly, not sarcastically. Does the doctor add anything else to make it work better.

Re: Save your money this doesn’t work
I don't think who performed it makes much difference. In my case, a nurse did most of it (the shaft) but yielded to the urologist to do the perineum. My question related not to the operator but the device.
Your description of it being performed on a "high end machine" at a "men's clinic" (like you, not being sarcastic, just pointed), does not convince me you had a legitimate focused shockwave treatment. Some of these bogus radial so-called-shockwave devices are employed by clinics and they charge a lot.
The only way I know is to get the exact model of the machine being used. The most prominent in the USA is the Storz SD-1 Duolith (Storz also makes a radial device so get the exact model). Another, and I may have the name wrong, is the Euro gold.
Having said all that, I'll acknowledge that even the best-of-the-best is controversial and is considered "investigational" for off-label use. Although I believe they are formally approved in Europe. Most posters here on FT have not seen significant results so it is not popular. IMO. there are enough credible pioneers (e.g. Goldstein, Khera, Buntrock) that think it has promise that I give it the benefit of the doubt and have spent a few thousand $$ trying it. OTOH, the consensus is that the radial devices are worthless.
