After surgery did your doctor leave you erect?

I only ask because everywhere i searched. That the doctor sent the guy home erect. For me after my surgery. My doctor didn't. So, I am wondering if this will cause me some issue when I do start pumping. When, I asked my doctor, he just didn't answer me.

I was about 50% to 70% inflated. I think it helps keep the corporal bodies stretched out while it heals to minimize potential size lose.

Same here, I was inflated the same, 50 to 70 percent. It was a pain to have it like that for 6 weeks, but I agree that it is necessary. All the YouTube videos that I watched about implant surgery before I got my implant all showed partial inflation and mummy wrapped.
Hopefully you can inflate it to 50 percent, but it was tough to touch my ball sack for 4 weeks after the surgery. The doctor inflates it while you’re still under general anesthesia so there isn’t any pain.
I got mine done at a military hospital and my doctors knew what to do.

Reading here on franktalk, most doctors keep it partially inflated.. but still there are doctors who have a different approach. I had contacted several doctors to get various estimates and one of them told me that he would send me home the next day completely deflated. (he didn't tell me the reason but I assume that this approach is just a matter of faster post-operative recovery).
in the end I opted for another doctor who left me inflated at 90% for over 4 weeks (due to strong fibrosis in the lower part of the penis) and I'm happy with this, because if I look at all the high volume doctors, most leave with inflation for a few weeks after surgery.. and most likely it is a choice made to try to maintain as much size as possible.

I had surgery on 6/13/2024 and i was left about 50% inflated. I've healed well but I'm walking around with a stiffy and always want to jack-off now. However, I am remaining patient until i get my release 4 weeks from surgery. On a side note it seems that it has inflated a bit during the 1st 2 weeks.

my first implant no it was done infrapubic my second implant left it 50% and wanted pointing up for 4 weeks it was done scrotal not sure if different surgery's or just doc preference

My doc said there were “a few pumps” in me, but I was not at >50% like many guys report. Doc said he preferred to leave the reservoir almost full so that it wouldn’t move around. I eventually inflated myself to >50% and left it there a few weeks because I couldn’t find the deflate button. There was a bit of pain from the stretch at first, but it went away after a day or two. I know most docs leave guys inflated, but it strikes me there isn’l obvious evidence that that is better, it may just be anecdotal/doctor preference.

You know that does make since. The doctor was worried about my mesh from my hernia repair being in the way of my reservoir. But, everything did go well..I am inflated some right now. You are right, I haven't found the deflate button either.
