Need advices for new pump user

Postby Otchuvini » Tue Feb 12, 2013 7:28 pm

Hello everybody

First, I do apologise if my English is little broke ... I am French and I still need to improve your language.

So, I am at 5 weeks after my surgery (Prostate removal from prostate cancer). I am 41 years old and you imagine than sex is a big concern for me. So since the surgery, my "winner" doesn't move at all (he might move 2 times during the night but it was about 10% of a full erection :( ).

My doctor told me to take cialis 5mg everyday and using a vaccum pump just for the rehab of my "winner (yeah, he was a winner and he will be again in the future !!! ")

I do try almost everyday the pump since 10 days and nothing ... During the vaccum process, my penis is just a little bit bigger and thats it. I am not using the ring right now .... I just want him to be full of blood and thats it.

I do pump pretty good I think, about 20 times (I am using a medical manual pump) but looks like the blood doesnt go in .... I can feel the vaccum, specialy on the base of my penis ... but when its pushing pretty hard, I am scare to pump more .... should I pump a lot of more ?

please please guy, I need help .... 41 is too young to say my sex life is over

Otchuvini, Welcome to FT ...
Well slight nocturnal (nighttime) erections are a good sign ... however you need to stay with your pumping program. Now you certainly don't want to pump to the point where it's painful. There will be some slight discomfort until you get used to the pump ... just don't overdue it. No more than 30 min. at a time, and you may want to use a rice sock prior to pumping.

Take an old sock and fill 3/4 full with rice or beans ... tie off the end and place it in the microwave for say 1 min. or so ... then wrap this around the shaft to warm the blood ... you'll get better results that way.

In a couple of months you may want to consult your URO about Injections to jump start your recovery. Some guys have had success with this method, then were able to forego the Injections and just stick with the pills (Cialis) ... Good luck and keep us posted of your progress ...

Three ten minute pumping sessions with two minute jelqing/massage breaks in between worked well for me.

OTC,

If you are depending on pumping to get you back in action then you do have some work ahead of you.

A pump CAN be a reliable method, but even at its best is a bit of a pain and nuisance method and does require a lot of work to get it all right.

Maybe you can give a little more info. What kind of Pump? Are you shaved or clipped to bare minimum?

After you get the actually pumping straightened out, so to speak, you will then have to make your way thru getting better rings.. maybe a penile sleeve .. of course by then you might have your shots and will abandon the pump!

Let us know what you have for a pump at least ...

I am using a medical pump. Its the Pos-T-Vac MOS model and yes I do shave and put a lot of gel to make sure the vacuum process do well.

This couple days, the penis get a little bigger (but not enough at all for intercourse) .... I still dont use the ring right now (Not enough confortable to do that). When I take out the pump, my penis go back IMMEDIATELY to a normal size. Is it normal without the ring ? Should I not expect the penis to keep a little erection during few seconds after ?

You may have venous leak ... yes you should at least have a little chubby when releasing the pump ...

Hopefully your PSA is "<.01" ... if so ask your URO for a test shot ... let us know how it goes.

Did try earlier .... I do beleive he gets bigger each week when I pump ... he's not a monster at all ... but bigger. Not sure if he still soft or hard. Not easy to say through the tube ...

Again .... I do not use the ring yet ..... probably I will be more comfortable this week to give a try ... so again he goes back to normal immediately when I release the vacuum.

Before the surgery I was in very good shape for that .... never had a problem with erection. So no medical problem beside the surgery of course.

Hi,
If you are anything like me, your erection will collapse as soon as the pump is removed if you do not have a compression ring or rings in place.
I have used the pump for nearly 12 months with very satisfactory results for both myself and wife. I can perform longer than I could before and am 1" larger in circumference and 3/4" inch in length than I was in my prime.
I prefer the sleeve, as well as the ring, sometimes I place two rings, I slide them off the plastic tube with a smaller one next to my skin. With a good amount of lotion, (Nivea) inside and outside the sleeve, I place the tube over my penis and pump 2 or 3 pumps to pull it through the sleeve, I remove the pump a physically pull it through the sleeve, pushing it tight against my stomach, As I am not circumcised, I pull the foreskin right through too. I replace the tube and pump until my glans reaches a point where there is a mark I put on the tube. I release the vacuum and do it again, (Kegle while doing the pumping), when I feel some slight discomfort, I release the constriction rings and remove the tube. It is quite quick, my girl is not upset or put off by the interruption.
The discomfort goes as soon as the vac is removed....... I don't have to worry about cumming too soon, and am good for as long as she wishes...... After about half an hour, I take the rings etc off.
For us the pump is the greatest, I do not anticipate having to go to the next steps of either injections or implant.
Case of 'to each his own' I guess.
Patience and practice will result in excellent results.
Best wishes.

I do not use a medical pump so I need to remove the cylander before I slide on the ring. I am usually not hard but once the ring (Osbon tension band) is in place, I kegel in more blood until it becomes hard. This procedure has always generated and and maintained a hard erection for twenty minutes when I need to remove the band to allow fresh blood back into my penis to avoid problems.
