Imminent Implant

Hello all.....
I'm 26 and getting an implant on Mar the 19th in London..

needless to say fear is kicking in but thankfully hope is overriding that feeling...

so firstly my preparation is simply half hour pumping and now and again i do some penis stretching with hand..
Any further advice would be appreciated...

Next this is an email i got in relation to some questions i had, a couple of days ago from the nurse of the urologist thats implanting me..
please let me know what you think of the stats and answers.. thank you..

Hello Kate this is Eoin …… here. I recently had the N.P.T test
done and the next day i was in with Doctor Ralph and then on to Mandi
about the Implants.

I have afew questions and i would like them fully answered, as you can
appreciate this is a very hard decision to make to have this operation
done..
1. How many Implants does doctor Ralph do a year? - 150-200 per year

2. What is the success rate of these implants?- 90-95% successful which is reliant on your expectations of what the implants are designed for.

3. What is the satisfaction rate of the Ams cx? 95-97%

4. What is the satisfaction rate of the Titan otr? 95-97%

5. If Doctor Ralph had to pick one which would he go for?- He would probably in your case suggest an AMS CX 700.

6. Why is the Ams lgx not implanted?- We do not feel that they provide length and there are currently no trials to prove this. There is also an increased risk of erosion with the implants.

7. Is the Ams Lgx not a good implant and why? It is the same as the 700CX with slightly more expansion.


8. What is the success rate of full engorement of the corporal
spongiousim(glans)- If you have some engorgement and sensation with the glans then this will occur naturally post surgery. Please do be reminded however, that general post operative numbness can last between 6-8 weeks.


My penis is 6" in lenght nearly erect, 4.5" up to the bottom of the
Glans, then the glans swells to add 1.5"... it has between 4" and 5"
circumference.

when my penis is flaccid it varies it can go from extremely skinny and short to
generally its between 3/4" in lenght and about 3" circumference.

When i stretch my penis i can get the same lenght of the coporal
bodies when nearly erect. 4.5"
so my last question is...

9. With the implant will/sould my coporal bodies be the same lenght
and girth as erect? The corporal bodies will most probably be slightly smaller in length when not aroused. Natural engorgement around the implants, through the skin and glans will probably give you a similar length to your natural state.

My only coment is I like the idea of the LGX. While the outcomes, lenght wise, could be about the same to start with, over time the lenght expansion feature after streching re-hab for 6-12 months will make the claimed diference. If your doctor sizes you implant perfectly the diference may not be that much but very likely LGX be give you the best chance of keeping your pre op length. But maybe lenght isn't everything? With my LGX the tips causes some pain at first but after daily one hour inflations in the first 1-2 months, that when away. It took me about 6 months for the implant to feel completly natural. Where are still some doctors here that haven't accepted the LGX but the tide has turned I think. I personally would want it but the main thing is either will do the job and if your doctor has strong objection then it might be in your interest not to go out of your doctor's comfort zone, I would want to be his or her forst LGX patient. A some times the AMS rep is in the operating room to help with these things.

Thanks for reply.. My urologist is completly against them and hes probably number 1 in europe, his name is doctor david ralph and he is in london if anyone wants to check him out.. I find it stupid how hes against them when most men on this are very happy with ams lgx, saying that the biggest implanter in the world doctor eid generally opts for titan, and afew other big time implanters do too.. At this stage and after alot of research i think its more the skill of the implanter than the type of implant! I have to stay in london for a week after surgery get a checkup, go back to ireland for 3 weeks then back to london for the final checkup. So what sould i have in the hotel room for after the surgery.. Also boxer wise and painkillers? Thanks for help

It should be fine either way, main thing ,i think, is a good surgeon. Looks like you have that so LGX, CX or Titian all have their supporters and they all work! Good luck and get some good support type brief style under ware and take it easy. At your age, you will probably have the opportunity to have another one or two implants during your lifetime.

I can comment only about the "risk of erosion". My uro who is a good friend of the famous Dr. Eid sais that studies about the erosion came to the conclusion that risk of an erosion with expandable implants is way less than a risk of complications in case of under-sizing.
Perhaps your doc is a conservative old-schooled one... Those who are in the area for many years tend to have a great deal of ego and arrogance and reject to accept new knowledge and new realities...
