ED After Priapism (Any Ways to Reverse the Damage?)

Postby Breakthrough » Sat May 03, 2025 10:02 pm

Very regrettably, a few months ago I took a male enhancement supplement, which caused a priapism, which I didn’t fully appreciate because it wasn’t fully stiff or painful. It was heavily engorged, though, and lasted for a few days. Since then the tone has changed where it had become rubbery and then generally light and empty feeling. I’m not sure if there’s a way to confirm the amount of fibrotic tissue that has taken over, but that could be helpful to know. I have seen a few urologist at this point, ranging from conservative to very aggressive/money hungry. I would love nothing more to be able to reverse the damage that I feel has been done. I am obsessed with seeking some regenerative technique that could restore my corpus cavernosum which was previously extremely healthy.

At this point, I am open to all regenerative techniques, but I feel that stem cells make the most sense. However, I’m aware that there is very little science and even fewer clinical practitioners applying effective techniques. If anyone has been through a priapism induced severe ED case and can speak to the progression from the time of the injury then that would be insightful for me. Additionally, if anyone has any experiences with stem cell clinics or even know of any stem cell clinics that have legitimate urologist at them, then please share.

A I understand that I may come off as desperate and neurotic, but I guess I am as this is such a critical situation. The doctors I’ve spoken with balk at the idea of me considering an implant at this point as I am in my mid 30s and they don’t mind keeping me on Cialis indefinitely, however, in visiting forums like this one it seems likely that the implant is the only sure thing.

Have you seen a urologist about this? That should be the first step.

I have seen a few urologists so far. The conservative one recommends I take pde5 and see a sex psychologist. He examined me and claims I didn’t suffer ischemic priapism because he didn’t feel the woodiness in my member and because I told him that the priapism wasn’t excruciatingly painful or stiff. He didn’t even want to give me a scan until I insisted but I haven’t done it yet. Another urologist that has his own sexual health clinic thus unsurprisingly recommends his product which in this case was exosomes injections. Unfortunately I can’t trust him fully either. The other urologists has the most credibility because he is conventional but supports advanced treatments. He didn’t physically examine me but heard me out and shared that he wasn’t aware of anything available to help. He said he wasn’t aware of any non US clinics treating ED either stem cells, which I found hard to believe since he has ties to the stem cell market at least in US.

Are we to assume from your description that you can no longer achieve a natural erection?

Breakthrough, very sorry to hear about your situation. I know you're looking for treatment information, but if you get to the point of looking for additional urology help here are some Dr's and practices recommended by fellow forum members.

That’s right. No erections without pde5. And no spontaneous erections. Pretty dormant around the clock. Big difference from before the incident when it was overactive. Not sure when the pde5 is supposed to stop working due to the worsening after priapism but I’m being compliant with doctors orders of taking pde5 regularly now.

Thanks Chuck. Hopefully there are some experimental urologists that people here can recommend as well. It seems that many urologists have been spooked for regen medicine but I wouldn’t see why legit ones wouldn’t practice in central and South America, unless everyone has completely ruled out stem cells as potential helpful in ED, particularly necrosis/fibrosis.

Wow, by your description it sounds like you had a "high flow priapism" which should be pretty harmless. Maybe you had an extended low flow/stiff priapism during your sleep?

Hi, I've been in a similar traumatic situation.
I'm sorry to tell you that you won't be the stud again and you'll have to learn how to use your penis from scratch.
You'll have to be very patient and calm.
I recommend using 100mg Viagra and relaxing.
If you find that doesn't work, you should try injections or an implant.
I know you see life as very dark, but we're here to help you. We won't let you down.
I'm 32 years old. You can talk to me, and I'll help you forge your new path.

Yeah I was hoping it was high flow but I don’t think it was considering how impactful it has been since then and that it was brought on by male enhancement pills. I can tell that it did damage to my corporal bodies but I can’t be sure just how much. It seems that it’d be helpful to have a scan to show exactly how much damage was done but at the same time I don’t know how I’d be able to use that information to get better.
