Malleable implant question - comfort & concealability with trousers, tucked shirt, and a belt?

Postby FenderStrat_93 » Thu Jun 12, 2025 7:41 pm

Hey everyone! I know concealability of a malleable has been discussed quite a bit in a handful of malleable journals but I have a more specific question:

For guys with an MPP, are you able to wear pants with belt and tucked in shirt? How is the concealability in this situation? In this situation, what direction do you typically point it in to stow it?

I work in an office and the “uniform” is typically a nice pair of trousers, tucked in dress shirt, and a belt. I’m considering an MPP but was wondering how much of an issue this could be! Am I overthinking it?

This is a reasonable question and you're not overthinking it. In my case, I hang slightly left just as I did before when I was erect. I'm able to sort of stow my penis in the left side of my trousers. No worries with tucking in a shirt, wearing a belt, etc.

Thanks Duke, I appreciate it. Any obvious bulge issues? And when it comes to stowing on left side of trousers, is it fairly comfortable for you?

As a natural "grower," I have more of a bulge than I did before—but it's not an issue. I think some people are worried that it will look like you're trying to hang a bath towel on your junk constantly. That's not how it looks after it softens up inside your body. Your body covers it in a thick layer of collagen (the capsule) and it behaves more like a normal part of your body.

For the first week or so, it sticks out pretty prominently. But I was at Christmas dinner just 2 weeks after surgery and it was great. I was sitting in kind of a hard chair, too, and I wasn't uncomfortable. I had sex at 7 weeks and it was incredible. But it got better and better every week, and I kept trying new things. The body is an amazing thing, so resilient and adaptive.

There is some adjustment with this kind of surgery. At 6 months (to the day, actually!) I'm still learning how to live with it, in little ways. But yesterday I wore jeans out to dinner without pain or issue. Two months ago, I had some serious irritation and soreness because the material was too snug and firm. You might not have the same issue. Everyone is different. At least in my case, it's true that every day it's a little different and a little better.

Thanks for the detailed write up - and I do remember you talking in your malleable thread about the jeans issue, that’s awesome to hear it’s working out for you!

I agree with Duke and couldn’t have said it better. I have to be in "uniform" once a month, and below is a thread with a couple of pictures from one of those days.

To reduce a noticeable bulge, working with the surgeon in choosing rods with good bend memory really helps. The only discomfort I experience is when sitting for long periods, but that’s been resolved since I started using a standing desk. No regrets when it comes to concealability and comfort. Is it 100% perfect for me? No, but it’s 80+ % perfect, and that’s a win in my book.

Appreciate the reply and advice Lasthope, and the pictures from that thread are very helpful. Looks completely natural in those slacks.

Just want to underscore how great I think this is, as a reply. 80% or so of complete satisfaction is actually very good. Nothing, ever, is going to be 100% ideal. But if you're lucky enough to get to 80%, like LastHope and me, I think you're in a great spot.

Found this thread - I had the exact same questions as you Fender. I feel like an MPP might be the perfect option for me, but like others I get worried about concealing it.

This seems to be an advantage of the Genesis too - from the threads I’ve been reading like Duke’s, comments from Lasthope & Driver, etc, it seems like folks with the Genesis tend to have good outcomes on the concealability side. Rigi10 on paper seems to be the “stronger” malleable (or more “rigid” at least) but from comments by easymoney and other guys, I do wonder if it is worth the risk of getting one that doesn’t bend or stow as effectively as the Genesis. It seems to be very hit or miss.

Duke - do you feel like your Genesis has gotten you sort of the “best of both worlds”? Are you happy with the rigidity, and do you ever feel like you wish the Genesis was more rigid than it is? I ask because I’m weighing my options right now, Genesis vs Rigi10. It’s a very big decision and I’m trying to make sure I balance out as many considerations as I can.
Diagnosed with venous leak after having ED majority of my life. Grateful to have some answers, and considering both MPP and IPP as options.

I do feel that my Genesis has given me the best of both worlds. I'm very happy with the rigidity during sex and I find that it's extremely comfortable almost all the time. I walked 5 miles today at a pretty good pace and didn't have any problems. Nobody seems to notice it at the gym, even though I'm sort of hyper-aware of the bulge being there.

I have a suspicion that there's another guy at my gym here in downtown Chicago who has a malleable, but I am of course absolutely not going to ask, lol. His penis looks just like mine in shorts, and to someone who knows about malleables, it just kind of seems obvious. Weird to see another one in the wild! There aren't many of us, after all.

I am still quite cautious about lifting moderately heavy weight (250+ lbs) in the gym. But that's only because my insurance does not cover penile implants at all and I want to be as absolutely conservative and as cautious as possible until I'm positive that I'm safe from a very expensive, avoidable mistake. I'm hoping to move over to a more inclusive insurance plan at Blue Cross of Illinois, but I still need to do a little more research to confirm whether this is a good idea for me.

And of course, anyone who's read my journal and is familiar with my history will know that I'm avoiding bicycles. Although, I am increasingly interested in the ElliptiGO bikes...

More than happy to answer any other questions. I've been away for a bit because I had a dental situation — a bad tooth infection that led to an extraction and a bone graft. I was exhausted by the infection, then exhausted by the recovery. Now I'm back to eating normal food. I'll be getting an implant (a dental one!) in November or December, I think. I haven't asked about the semi-rigids (lol).
