Day 11 Post Surgery

I hit day 11 today, and the last couple of days the discomfort has really stepped up in the scrotum itself. Being particularly uncomfortable when I stand for any longer than around a minute. Luckily sitting and laying down takes all of the discomfort away instantly.

I have a worry though on my incision area. The edges look to be healing, but in the middle I could see a tiny part was still a little moist, and there is something there. It's difficult to see if it's a discharge in colour, or if it's part of the scabbing process or mixed with anything that was put on it initally to help it heal. It has worried be right now and I have emailed the clinic already waiting to see what they say. It doesn't hurt or feel hot, but that's not stopping me feeling panicked.

I would assume, this is just wound fluid and as long it's on the gauze not smelling bad or looks like pus, it's ok.

My scrotum was pretty sore for three weeks or so, and it very slowly got better. Your pain there may be getting worse because you’ve recently moved around more and have been sitting, then standing frequently. That said, you’ve done the right thing about alerting your doctor to any concerns about your incision. It’s highly likely all is well, but it’s good to watch for signs of potential infection.

Just to update here, the incision is now healing nicely and I've been soaking in bath salts the last couple of days which has really sped up the process. I'm still having discomfort on the right side of the scrotum when standing for longer than five minutes, but hoping that will start to subside over the coming days as the healing process continues.
