Still have pain
I’m 3 months into this and still have pain in my pelvic floor … especially when I flex the muscles. The pain is mostly centered under my balls in the perineum. Has anyone experienced this post the 3 month mark? .

As many posts as I need to to get the info I need to make informed decisions. My surgeon will not answer my questions so I use the forum.

Re: Still have pain
Surgery is different for everyone. Three months is still early. I have had multiple different surgeries and what I have found it takes about a year to get completely back to normal. It is not uncommon to still have some pain or discomfort at 3 months. Hang in there!

Talk with your doctor. Ask him if Gabapentin might help.

Junk098, fitting name. Rarely does a post live up to a username so perfectly.

Recovery takes much time. I'm over two years in and things aren't gonna feel normal for some time. I'd agree with others on here that it takes a full year for complete recovery. One example is I began to see growth around the 6 month mark. I will say that today my implant feels like my original. Why your Dr isn't answering you is another question. Mine always, always got back tome. Has yours told you that healing takes time?

Re: Still have pain
Osprey, it does take time. I remember having pain in my pelvic floor and it would hurt when I would sit in hard chairs. I'm a cyclist and everything down there was tight for a good while after getting back on my bike after a month and I would have some type of pain down there from time to time, at least 6 months to a year.
Hang in there buddy,

hang in there buddy, i had bad aches and pains around my resviour even 5 months past, i still get them briefly now and im 8 months in. My intial healing with quick, the scars the bruising ect but the aches and pains lingered considerably longer i think it was about the 5 month mark that i actually started forgetting about them which i think its because they had finally gone, i actually cant put my finger on it and give you a definite time frame it took because thats not how your brain work, its a problem until its not then you simply forget. im sure i have a few posts about pain because i was getting concerned by it as well but chances are your probally fine. i remember getting frustrated at the responses saying "your only x amount of time in you need time to heal" but they are correct.
