Tuesday is D day!

Postby Colby-jack__ » Fri Aug 22, 2025 5:41 pm

Hi everyone.
first: Ive been reading on here for 2 months and what you all have built here as a community has been very very helpful for me.

long story short ive struggled w/ ED for 20 years (im 51).
at first it was PE and in the last 5 years its been softer and softer erections with more and more ED meds

I started w/ cialis 20 years ago.
switched to the indian pharmacy version of cialis.
switched back to the generic domestic version a few years ago (it got MUCH cheaper).
switched to trimix when that stopped working
and recently quadmix...
which basically gives me a not-firm engorged dick that hurts.

My urologist says i have the curse of the big dick and fortunately he can fix that!
tuesday morning is my day and i cant wait!

Dr Taj is my urologist and so far he and his team have been great to work with.
especially this:
his team (and the team from coloplast) worked to get pre authorization form my insurance company.
they were successful even though my policy has a specific exclusion for implants!
I was sure i was looking at a $28k bill to get this done but nope! preauthorized!

amazing!

so here i go into my last weekend with a dick that doesnt work.
my last weekend wishing i could perform.

any advice for how to prepare for best results?

thanks again to all of you for sharing your stories and so much info about ED and IPPs.
Im sure i would not have considered this (and ultimately signed up) if it wasnt for all of you!
ED is a nasty condition that sneaks up on you and get progressively more "severe".
it really is (or causes) a mental health condition and im hopeful im about to have a real, lasting solution!

Best of luck to you. Today is day 8 post op. Went to work for 1/2 day. Feeling a little sore but I know Im on my way. I agree, FT is a great asset to all of us. I feel I have been pretty lucky compared to some, not much swelling or pain. I hope you are just as lucky.

Colby-jack__, congrats on making the hard decision ! I'm 6+ months post-op, and my biggest regret is not doing this years ago. Best wishes for Tuesday, and we'll be anxious to hear how things go.

Thanks! I cant wait really.

"Wish I had done it sooner" is what everyone says.
This really made the decision pretty easy for me.

That and really accepting that slightly annoying ED evolves into severe ED and doesnt often get less severe on its own.

Seeing that my story is like hundreds (thousands) of other men. The things I've tried are the same (cialis, viagra, pshots, gainswave, supplements, exercise, Trt, trimix, quadmix, peptides) and all roads lead to the same couple places and while the IPP isn't perfect its a REAL solution that lasts. Maybe not forever but a lot longer than trimix worked for. 98% patient AND partner satisfaction.

I was 100% ready to tackle this when I thought it had a $28k bill attached to it. When preauthorization came through it was only a question of how soon can it happen.

My first urologist appointment to discuss IPP was just 6 weeks ago and Tuesday is the day! Im also fortunate to live 5 miles from a high volume surgeon so that helps.

Excited to hear your outcome Colby. I am 6 weeks till D-Day. I have been using TriMix for the last two years with okay success but the pain after is bad as well as have a raging hard on for hours after…Taking my wife with me to Dr. Brady solidified my decision as I didn’t want to be 5 years from now saying that I wished I had done it sooner.
Best of luck to you sir!!

My Dr. said, he thought I was best suited for a Coloplast. I was given a 22cm with no RTE's scrodal install. I am also in very good health with no body fat (57). Coming out of surgery, he told me all my tissues were super healthy and I had a "text book install". Healing has had it's ups and downs and I can say at day 8, I turned the corner for the best. Still sore but much of my pain and discomfort was gone. Now at day 10, I'm pretty good and normal, for me the worst part is the chafing between my legs and the pump. I sure hope this gets better. My only other issue is sleeping. Its the most comfortable on my back, I'm not a back sleeper. On my side, my legs push on the pump and it becomes very painful. Again, I am hopeful in time this works out. Good luck on Tuesday, I'm sure you will be fine. Send me a pm anytime you have questions.

I wish mine told me that. I wouldn't want him to fix it!
Seriously, bigger guys seem to do well with Coloplast so it sounds like you're on the right path.
Best wishes for your surgery and recovery. It's a big step and takes time but worth it in my experience.

Congrats!!! Best wishes to you. I’m certainly happy to have chosen implant. I have zero complaints about it.

You asked for advice:
- Follow YOUR doctors instructions to the letter. De NOT deviate from them. We have all been told slightly different things from our surgeons about when to activate/pump, when to shower, when it’s safe to get in a bath or pool. Don’t do what someone else’s doctor said. Do what YOURS says.

- Stay off your feet and get your feet up for the first couple days. The more you rest, the less swelling and pain you are likely to have. The quicker the recovery.

- ice ice ice ice ice ice ice. Constantly for the first few days. It is very effective for discomfort and reduced swelling is reduced pain and quicker healing. The bandage on my cock and balls was thick enough I didn’t need to worry about frostbite or overdoing the ice.

- After the first few days of ice, switch to a heating pad. After the initial period of swelling has passed, a heating pad increases blood flow to the area and can help with healing.

- I found that alternating 600mg ibuprofen and 1000mg of Acetaminophen was effective for pain control. But if you need to take some narcotic pain meds for a couple days it will be fine. If so, take a stool softener tablet each time you take a dose of narcotics. Narcs slow down your GI tract and constipation can be a concern.

I just had a Coloplast Titan with the classic pump implanted in March. I’ve had a super easy recovery. I love the results. And I’m basically back to my preop size. I kept a journal to share the process. The link is in my signature. I found other guys journals helpful as I was considering implant. Consider doing the same to pass it on to other guys.

Feel free to PM with any questions.
