Implant Sizes

Postby Irish Lad 34 » Sun Nov 09, 2025 1:15 pm

Do the implant sizes go up in half centimetre or quarter centimetre measurements?

If your measurement for example is 15.75cm what size implant would they use?

Coloplast goes in 2 cm increments (20, 22, 24, 26, 28) but you cant say what size your surgeon will use without knowing your internal dimensions.

We all have an internal and external "size" and you'll get an implant based on those 2 numbers combined.

I have a 26cm coloplast titan but my post op johnson is not 26 cm!

The implant cylinder lengths vary depending on the brand and model. If you know which one you are getting you can look up the sizes available.
But as the other guys have said you can't predict your own size beforehand. Your surgeon will take the Distal (external) and Proximal (internal) measurements on the operating table to determine the implant size you need. We all have different ratios of distal vs proximal.

As an example I'm now approx. 6.5 inches/16.5 cm fully erect and bone pressed after about 8 months post op with diligent cycling. My distal length was 11 cm and proximal was 10 cm. My implant cylinders are 21 cm. Also the distal length is not the full external length of your penis as the implant cylinder tips don't go all the way to the end of the glans. And there is some "stretch" with cycling, even with non expanding implants as they all have some degree of elasticity. Total wild ass guess but if you are currently 15.75 cm erect and around average proximal size I'd say you'll probably end up with something similar to me.

IIRC AMS implants also go up in 2cm increments, but start on odd numbers so 19, 21, 23, etc.

Awesome. Were you a lot shorter fresh out of surgery? How is your girth, more or less than what you had before?

Yes definitely much shorter immediately post op, which was disconcerting. But I had read a lot on here and knew that it would take time and cycling to get back to normal. My surgeon's protocol was to leave me 30% erect for the first 6 weeks before activating the implant and commencing cycling. That left me with a hard but short approx. 4.5 inch boner during that period. Very awkward and uncomfortable. Girth is the same as I had previously at around 5 inches, but recently I've noticed a slight increase when erect for long periods. I'm hoping that might be the LGX expansion properties kicking in, but I'm happy with it as is anyway.

EDIT: I forgot to say that like many I had a fair amount of swelling. My nut sac was the size of a grapefruit for a while and the pubic fat pad was also enlarged. All of that obscures the penis to a degree and makes it look smaller. Once the swelling subsides things improve.
