You only get once chance to have a virgin implant done right. Consider waiting and saving for a cash price surgery. Or consider one of the other excellent surgeons in other states who might take your insurance.

So hold on, are you saying that a doctor who does about 50 implants a year and has been doing them for 8 years isn't good or qualified enough for an implant? Also, he's from Beth Israel, Mount Sinai in NYC which is considered a highly reputable hospital. Let me know what you think, please.

I am not saying that at all. I'm saying there are levels of competence and qualifications. You wouldn't say Larry Byrd isn't qualified to play professional basketball. But you would say that if you were playing a pickup basketball game and the winner gets to take home your dick, you'd pick Michael Jordan to have on your team instead of Larry Byrd.

Yeah I understand your analogy. But here's my dilemma.... I'm scheduled for an implant relatively soon. The doc who's a surgeon with Mount Sinai accepts my insurance. Other docs who are a bit more high volume won't accept my insurance. That means paying out of pocket for like $35k. I have the money but its too much money to spend and will put a dent into my savings. At least with the Mount Sinai surgeon I get the surgery for free. Btw, if I paid out of pocket for him it would turn out to be $85k, I kid you not.

Try to understand my situation. Please let me know what you think with this new info.. looking forward!!
