Just got diagnosed with Peyronies again, want to get an implant when I can, I have some questions:

Postby mikeypotts » Tue Dec 30, 2025 11:22 pm

I (23M) had a bought with Peyronies (twice!) a few years ago, now I have another plague. I don't even know how I could have possibly gotten it. Since I was already struggling with Peyronies symptoms before (ED, curvature), and because I'm clearly very prone to Peyronies, I want an implant as soon as I can get one. Questions are:

*How* can I start the process of getting an implant? Do I have to go through a trial-and-error process with my urologist until nothing else works and only be eligible then, or can I request it or get a procedure done at a specialty clinic (I heard about Dr. Trost's clinic, and I'm interested in that).

*When* can I expect to have a surgery done? Plague first appeared a couple months ago, do I have to wait until the 6-18 months for the plague to stabilize? And how long can I expect surgery wait times to be?

What are the chances at significant length loss with the procedure? Any other procedures I can have done to limit loss, or anything else in general I can do? I've heard most people regain lost length in the months after the surgery, but how consistent is that?

Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Depends on your doctor. Let them find out if you need more evidence for your insurance to cover it.

Depends on your doctor. Find out how far he is booked out.

Depends on your doctor. Make sure he is high-volume and thus confident enough to size you properly. (also, get a vacuum and keep yourself from atrophying until surgery)

Makes sense that it varies. Would you be aware of the typical timelines? Also, maybe a dumb question, but what do you mean by "atrophying"?

Just call the offices. All any one of us knows is what googled ourselves TBH... my wait was 9 months only because I was deployed.

Atrophy just means that bodyparts that don't get used shrink up... muscles for their own reason (which is a small part of the penis) but especially elastic balloons like our CC. Guys that let their ED go for years end up a lot shorter unless they vacuum and guys that vacuum seriously can actually gain.

you are very young, if pills still work I would suggest to keep using pills (maybe use a penis stretcher to try to correct peyronies first)

regarding the implant only thing to try to avoid losing size is to go to the top implanters (if you can't go to top implanter demand the LGX that can expand in length to avoid any undersizing)
LGX 18 + 1. 2023/12
Pre-OP VED length: 5.5". Post-OP: 4". At 3 months post-op: 5". At 1 yr: 5,3"
Cycling with a lot of pain for the first 5 months, now improving
If you have a motorcycle stop using it (ED with motorcycle accident).

Okay thank you. Any advice on how to do that without pump? I'll likely still get pump anyway

I mean, you can do whatever you like to maximize penis size, whether it’s injections, jelqing, hanging, clamping… pumping is just easy, and the method doctors recommend.

Get yourself a Restorex device. Use it religiously.
Get a prescription for Cialis daily or every other day plus Trental. Also take L-argenine and Citrulline.
I did this for 5 month prior to my implant. I regained all my lost length and got the Peyronies curve to the point that my surgeon did not need to do any modelling of the plaque when he implanted me
Because my penis was so well conditioned by the RestoreX I did not lose any length during surgery.
66yrs. Radical prostatectomy 2017. ED last 3yrs. Mild Peyronies Jan 2025. Used RestoreX pre-surgery with great results. Titan Classic 20cm Nov 2025. L 7in, G 4.5in first inflation. (Small loss from youth but big gain from ED days)

My initial consultation was mid July and surgery was aug 28. A lot of "urgent" guys can get on a list with their surgery and they'll call you in if someone cancels (like flying standby).

The first step in getting implanted quickly is to determine several things: are you self-pay or insurance (getting preapproval from my insurance slowed me down by 2 weeks but saved me 28k)? Have you decided on a surgeon (if youre near virginia, consider Dr Taj. He is amazing and got me in and out quickly with excellent care). The rest is lead by your surgeon (scheduling, make/model etc).

The advice about VED is correct. If youre definitely getting an IPP you can get a VED and use it a LOT (Like at least an hour a day) with no risk. If you do this, you will definitely get the largest implant possible. I gained a solid inch (7.5" to 8.5") and unlike VED without IPP, the gains are permanent! I used it every day for months before surgery including days id see my surgeon (shorter VED sessions thise mornings) and ecen on the morning of surgery (for about 8-10 minutes).

Lastly: if you get diagnosed w peyronies you are more likely to get coverage from your insurance company. My insurance excludes surgery to correct ED but they quickly said yes to surgery to correct peyronies.

Good luck on your journey and ask me anything.
I wish I had done this when I was younger but im so glad I finally did do it... 1000% life changing.

Coloplast titan 26 cm placed on 8/26/25 by Dr Taj
~8" before IPP but not "hard" enough for pvi.
Tried everything as things progressed:
Pills, pumps, prp, trt, gainswave, peptides, trimix, quadmix and a vibrating ring.
