I don't think I had one, but I am not sure what it is. Please elaborate.

A JP drain has a drain tube in the area of surgery to collect excess fluid. It goes through the skin and has a suction bulb at the end to collect the fluid. It is emptied daily by the patient. Some people with implant surgery are getting these now. They help avoid the edema and speedsup the healing process.
Thanks, Gary

Search the implant forum for "drain" and you will find a few that had a jp drain. I'm not a medical professional, and I really have no expertise. My impression, I'm not sure what from, is that this was more common years ago than now. My impression is that some surgeons have refined their technique to minimize swelling so that this is not necessary. Not having a drain, and minimizing swelling also decreases the risk of infection, so I have been told.

I had a drain in bottom of scrotum that was removed the morning after surgery.
