Inflatable Penile prosthesis last long durability

I am concerned about the long-term durability of an inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP). I am a young man in my 20s planning to undergo penile prosthesis surgery, and I feel confused.
There are two main types of implants: malleable and inflatable. I do not have medical insurance, and I may not be able to afford revision surgery to soon. Because of this, I am considering a malleable implant since it is more affordable and easier to revise and not failure like inflatable use more years without issue.
However, from what I have read in comments and research, many people say that for young men, the inflatable implant is the better option. In inflatable I could possibly afford a revision after 10–15 years, but I am worried about device failure within 3–5 years, as I would not be able to afford another surgery that soon.
If I choose an inflatable penile prosthesis, how long does it usually last based on real patient experience? Are there men who have used it successfully for many years without revision?

I personally slacked way off after mins started functioning properly after initial breakin. I did recently have a revision after just 4 years but it was all install issues from the surgeon that did my first one. Function of the implant was still perfect. Most important go use a qualified higher volume implanted taht does IPP and MPP primarily, not a urologist that does a few a year.

Without medical insurance and knowing your budget + estimation on when you could afford revision surgery, I’d seriously consider a malleable. Do lots of research on the different options.

In my own research, the Genesis and Rigi10 are holistically the best options. Between the two of them, I actually suspect the 11mm or 13mm Genesis likely is the best MPP out there. I have the Rigi10 - my complaint with the device is the bend angle, which impacts my comfort.

Concealment is no longer a challenge for me - there are some changes you’ll likely need to make to best accommodate a malleable, but I have no problem wearing nice work trousers with a tucked shirt. I talk about this in my journal. The Genesis would likely be even easier to conceal on account of its better bend angle.

If I ever need to revise - I’m 95% sure I’d go with the Genesis over the Rigi10.

Also to add - I know fertility and starting a family is very important to you. As part of that, financial stability is critical for starting and raising a family, so if I was in your shoes I’d primarily focus your decision around devices with highest reliability in terms of years of use before needing a revision, especially because you don’t have insurance. Malleables lead in this area. Especially consider the Genesis malleable, which is pre coated with antibiotic to help prevent infection.

As you mentioned, I am still young (in my early 20s), and I want to plan a family in the future. So I just want to confirm that everything related to fertility is intact. And are you plan family to conceive baby or you don't want

Haven’t had sex yet with a partner but with masturbation, my sensation and ability to orgasm is all 100% intact. Masturbation is significantly more enjoyable since getting implanted. I have some numbness on one side of my subcoronal incision site but i recently noticed sensation returning there and it feels totally fine. Only issues im having currently are related to sensitivity in clothing on one part of my penis, but it has not been an issue anymore with living daily life.

I cant answer about fertility because ive never had my fertility tested or anything like that, but im not worried about it - the implant shouldnt have an impact on fertility from what i understand. It just allows you to achieve a reliable erection whenever needed.
