Did your urologist manage expectations?
I saw a high volume surgeon who did an excellent job technically. He is in the more typical camp of initiating cycling after four weeks. I spent a lot of time on AI chatbots to understand what is going on. For most patients who do not receive instruction regarding very early cycling, a pseudo capsule forms around the cylinders and it takes a while to push through that with the initial short cycling ramping up to the more effective longer cycling, finally leading to fully expanded cylinders and high rigidity.( Some patients do not form this capsule as aggressively, so they might experience easier pumping and rigidity from the outset.) Did anyone starting cycling at 4 weeks finding a lot of resistance get any urologist reassurance or advance warning about the patience it will take to get to goal? That would’ve made me feel a lot better. I had no understanding that the device would not work 100% right out of the gate in terms of rigidity. I was not concerned about tape measure issues.

I’m not aware that delayed cycling takes time to develop full rigidity, I was under the impression the device would be fully rigid immediately but possibly at reduced size until the capsule and tissues could stretch. Can others chime in on this?
I have a Titan and began cycling at one week which is standard for Dr. Hakky’s protocol. I had full rigidity immediately on first cycle, though obviously there was pain.

There is no significant capsule at four weeks. It starts immediately but we are training the tunica which is a hundred times thicker and resistant. As long as you don’t leave it alone, the capsule will never be an issue.
