Hi, everyone.
Had the AMS 700 LGX (21 cm) installed 6 days ago. Still lots of pain and discomfort when standing up or walking around, pretty much the same as the day of surgery (now without Percocet), so I'm laying down most of the time.
It was a very long journey before I was comfortable with this solution. Never liked the idea of an artificial device inside my body, especially in my genitals. My testicles have always been very sensitive to touch so the pump placement was the biggest obstacle, and I expect this to be a continual challenge over the next couple of months.
I know everyone's journey is different, but I'm very interested in hearing about people's recovery experience. In the past I've been an endurance athlete (biking 100 miles, swimming 6+ miles) but I don’t expect to be able to regain that level of fitness for a long time. For now, I'm looking forward to being able to work in my backyard (maintaining my pond, building a second pond, etc). Bike accident with a hit-and-run driver (four broken vertebrae) allowed me to go backwards and get totally out of shape in the meantime, but I'm finally motivated to no longer let that hold me back.
Deciding to regain an active sex life and get back into top physical shape are all part of the same movement forward psychologically and physically. Only moving forward at this point. Thanks, guys!
