AMS revision

Postby Jamie7891 » Wed Jun 24, 2026 7:44 pm

Hey FT

I was originally implanted in 2018 with ams700 LGX and about 2 years later I had a leak in tubing and needed a revision in 2020 which fixed the pump leakage

Just last week I noticed the the firmness was getting softer as I leave it partially pumped for comfort

I trying pumping it all the way up which it did and held firmness’s ok so deflated and tried to give a few pumps to flick the valve over and leave semi firm and the bulb went flat and can now have air gurgling sound from it and cylinders are flat so definitely got a failed implant

Had a consultation with my surgeon and he said ur implant is 9 years old so it’s time for a revision and now recommend the Coloplast Titan to replace it so I’ve been booked in for Monday to have my 2nd revision at 39 years old

Will keep everyone updated post surgery
31 year old :D tried pills for 5years
Trimix too painful and not spontaneous

Was implanted by dr katelaris on 13/8/18 in Sydney Adventist Hospital
With AMS 700 LGX 21cm & 3cm RTE
Revision failed pump
Dr katelaris on 23/3/2020
