Just got diagnosed with "Mild Peyronie's Disease" by my ED urologist. I don't know how this happened but i have a rope like band on the left side when semi-hard, and mild hourglass when I get hard with 45 degree bend up. I have pain when erect, especially on the dorsal part by the glans. I don't get hard very often as I have had SBRT prostate radiation for cancer and also a green light laser procedure and diabetes. And a hypertonic pelvic floor which I'm in PT for.My erections are just now starting to improve somewhat and now I have pain. I don't even want to get hard now because of the dorsal pain. Urologist has scheduled a followup in 7 weeks but I wish it were sooner.
How do you guys deal with this? Seriously. I appear to be in the active or acute phase which I'm reading could be 6-18 months. And from what I read, nothing will reduce the pain and "treatment" doesn't start till active phase is over. We were going to try Trimix and how urologist says that is off the table. which probably makes sense with the erection pain. I'm 65 and my window to have sex is getting shorter all the time. An 18 month or more setback is almost too much on top of everything else I've been through.
tell me what to expect from a real world perspective, how you deal with this, and any thoughts on how to reduce pain and discomfort. Thank you
Bob D
