How is post-op girth determined? (Titan)

Question for anyone familiar with how post-op girth typically works out. Is final girth mainly determined by the implanted cylinder size, or by your own tissue capacity, or something else? Trying to understand how it actually works before my August surgery. No fibrosis or atrophy. For reference, my pre-op stats: erect girth 5 3/8, BPEL 6.7, NBPEL 6. Appreciate the help, and yes I agree one that works is better than one that doesn’t.

It’s pretty widely agreed that girth is determined by the size of the tunica encasing the corpora cavernosa. The tunica is a fibrous sheath that has very little give. There has usually been some tissue shrinkage from the longstanding ED before implantation, and as a result the inflated penis is initially smaller than it had been. Over the first year or so the tissues stretch and the size improves to where you will probably achieve the same size you were before.

Hopefully your using a VED at least twice daily in preparation for implant. All primary Drs and any other that are any good at all will suggest this to help stretch out your tissues as much as they can just prior to implant. I pumped twice daily for 3 months prior to my implant and was always happy with my size and girth. Also agree with other post. Your girth is generally limited by your corporal bodies except in the rare case that your upwards of 7” in girth and then you might loose a little. See your comment so not an issue with you. I actually gained almost a 1/4 in girth within a year after implant so I had some growing to do.

what about the actual shape of the girth cross section.

The girth might be the same, but it became more oval than round. the tubes provide the horizontal width when inflated, but vertically its a little more narrow
