Hey All,
First of all I want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone here. My journey has been a bit of a long one and I honestly don't know how I would have gotten through without reading everyone else's stories here.
Some background on me - I never suffered from ED right up until age 57 but I was diagnosed with rectal cancer four years ago and ended up having to have APR surgery (removal of rectum, anus, sigmoid colon and sphincter and I have a permanent ostomy bag). The bag has become such a normal part of life that I hardly think about it anymore and I've been cancer free since the surgery (16 scans and counting) but....
Between the radiation treatment and nerve damage from the surgery I lost all ability to have a natural erection. They told me it could take up to two years for it to come back if it did at all and that honestly hit me harder than the original cancer diagnosis. I'm married to a woman who can only be described as pure hotness and we were very active right up until the surgery (and she has stood by me through it all). Pills didn't work at all so for the last tree years I've depended on injections while I waited to see if it would recover on its own. Eventually it recovered to maybe 30-40% without injections but that was it. A while back I started having more pain when injecting and noticed a pronounced curve so it was back to the doc and he said it's time for an implant. Apparently very few people inject multiple times a week and I had developed scar tissue from so many injections so he booked me for a Titan implant.
I went in on July 9th for the implant and woke up with a Genesis malleable instead of the Titan because when he tried to place the reservoir, he found multiple adhesions in my pelvic area, my small bowel was fused to my bladder and both were fused to the abdominal wall so he called in another surgeon (ended up being the same doc that did my APR) and got everything fixed up but they weren't comfortable placing the reservoir yet so he placed a Genesis malleable instead. The surgery ended up being a little over 4 hours and I woke up in the recovery room when both surgeons gave me the news. My initial reaction was pretty much despair but he assured me that he could replace it with a Titan in about three months when everything inside me heals properly. I have 11mm rods but not sure of the length. I had complications from the adhesions and ended up back in the hospital for three days due to a bowel obstruction from the intestine going dormant after the repair but everything is back to working now.
Now I'm 18 days out from surgery and had a follow up on Friday past. He told me the incisions are healing nicely and cleared me to have sex as long as I took it easy and stop if I felt any pain. As for the Genesis itself, I have been very pleasantly surprised. I have the same 6ish inches (measured from the flesh, not the bone) that I had before my first surgery and I only lost a tiny bit of girth. The doc prescribed daily 5mg Cialis and, when aroused, it seems like my girth is what it was, plus it engorges the glans. In short, it feels completely natural except for it being hard all the time. I'm seriously considering keeping it as opposed to going through another surgery considering my history and, after last night, my wife is begging me not to screw with it too.
My only issue is some discomfort at the glans from rubbing on my underwear. I can't get used to having it bent down, preferring to bend it over to the side but I am circumsized so the glans starts to get tender with all the rubbing. If I can solve that issue, I'll happily keep this thing so any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated

Abby socks and seperatec underwear work wonders but you’ll have to keep it down with them. The tissue will toughen up in time either way! Hang in there sounds like you have things going in the right direction. Might just stay with what you have until at some later date if you. Hangs your mind you can always go back for IPP. One thing is for sure. You will never know if it would be better or worse by changing but if what you have works and makes the wifey happy then…..
60yo.ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works w diminishing results.
Implanted 5-22 Titan 20cm with 1cm RTE.
Revision 3-26 Titan 24cm with 1cm trimmed off.
Infection, salvage 5-26 Titan 24cm -1cm trimmed.

I’m glad everything went well for you at the end! And it’s good to hear that you feel pleasantly surprised by the genesis. Hopefully this means you can at least delay any revision surgeries planned and get some peace of mind for some time.
I have spoken to many ppl with MPPs from all around the world and know some friends personally who have one so if you have any questions you’d like to ask or want me to connect you with someone feel free to pm me.
I’m always interested in feedback from ppl with MPPs so if you don’t mind im gonna ask some questions,
1- how is the performance in penetrative intercourse? did you suffer from any problems relating to rigidity/stability of the implant?
2- any position you suffered from or was difficult to execute due to the implant?
3- how was the residual filling/engorgement during arousal?
4- how was your partners satisfaction?
if you’d like to add any further advise or comments it would be hugely appreciated too.
hope you keep enjoying your implant for many decades to come!

Hey man, happy to answer any questions here or over DM. I have had my Genesis for around 18 months and change and I love it. The discomfort at the glans from rubbing can be addressed early on with a little bit of Vaseline. I found that helped me quite a bit. Let me know how I can help! Be patient and conscientious as you heal up! We're here for you.
Born 1990. ED since age 20 after a bicycle accident. Coloplast Genesis malleable implanted December 2024 by the great Dr. Laurence Levine in Chicago.

Thanks and as time has gone on I am loving it more and more. To answer your questions:
1. No problems at all. In fact, last night the wife and I got quite intense and there was a point where I pulled out and pushed back in hard (which I've done in the past prior to my surgeries) and I missed so to speak. Prior to my surgeries, that would be painful but last night it just bent downward with no pain. I straightened it and continued
2. None at all, we tried quite a few last night with no issues. Wife says she prefers the feel now when on top
3. That's the part that surprised me. When aroused it feels thicker, I guess fleshier is the best word and the glans gets thicker and fuller. Those things make it feel like getting an erection used to feel which feels really good
4. To use her words 'You mess with this thing anymore and I will cut you....' She's joking....I think

Hey Duke! Right after I got the Genesis instead of the Titan, your story was one of the ones that I took a huge amount of comfort in, you have no idea how helpful your words were to me at that time so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The vaseline works so now I owe you two beers....
I have to say I'm really loving this thing and I have no desire to change to an inflatable (even if my wife allowed me to)
